This morning, I was walking down the stairs to go to the kitchen and my kid looked up at me in surprise and told me I am looking thin. This made my day. I did lose the bet, but I am moving in the right direction. I was 3 lbs away from my goal. It wasn't because I cheated or didn't exercise. I am actually doing another bet called stepbet. In any case, this bet was worth it because my problem is I just couldn't start and stick to it. Now I am in a routine which could go on for a long time. I had to find the routine first. I am considering doing a transformer, but am worried because I did my best and lost 6.1 lbs in one month. I needed to lose 9. The transformer might be too aggressive for me. I'll think about it.

The transformer is less aggressive; the goal is to lose 10% in 6 months. The first 2 months are 3% each for a total of 6% for the two months, third month is an additional 2%, fourth and fifth months are each an additional 1%, for a total of 10%. The 6th month is maintaining your 10% loss. There are details in the rules section at the bottom of this page. Hope this helps.
