Has anyone ever been disqualified for loosing too much weight? I was reading through the rules ( ugh I hate when I can’t sleep) and they say there’s a percentage that you can’t go over but how to you calculate that?

I went and looked at my last 6 month game and I lost just over 15% and I thought that was good…. 25% seems crazy. Would love that.

But the ONLY required weigh-ins are initial, 5th & 6th round so if someone happened to exceed the round weigh-in they wouldn't have to submit except for 5th and they couldn't have lost more than 30%. If someone lost 30% that would be their prize! That would bring me to my high school weight. LOL

Just joined, done dietbet in the past. But I have gained back all of my weight back plus a little extra. I’m ready to get back on track for myself and my family. I need to start feeling better and healthier and being able to breathe while hanging out with my boys. With that being said, I am so excited to be on this journey with everyone !!!! Sooooo, I have some news.

Very unexpected and I’m pretty sure I can’t continue in this DietBet. But I didn’t want to drop off the platform without letting all of you know.

I am pregnant.

This is very much a shock as I didn’t think I could get pregnant anymore. It is considered a high risk pregnancy as I’m in my mid 40’s.

I’ll be sending an email to support to drop out in the next day or so.

You guys are amazing and I want you all to know, I’m forever available to you as a friend and supporter in your weight loss journey.

The last few months have been stressful with relocating a family of 6 with 4 pets across the country and I've been giving into stress by eating way too much chocolate. My goal for last week was just not to eat chocolate. I know from previous experience that not eating chocolate is the best way to curb my sugar cravings. Now that I feel I have my sugar tooth under control, this week I'm focusing on drinking a minimum of 60 ounces of water and planning healthy lunches. After eating too much chocolate, planning and eating a healthy lunch is my biggest stumbling block. What do you like to eat for lunch?

Lettuce wraps - tacos, tuna salad, pulled chicken, or turkey sandwiches
Veggie Omelette or scramble
Salad w/ lean protein
Adult Lunchable - some combo of crackers, cheese, turkey, pickles, veggies & hummus, fruit, hard boiled eggs, etc

I started to log my calories in the Loseit app. 😭 It's so depressing to think about calories! For years, I've lost weight just counting carbs. But I'd like to get leaner (dropping my body fat especially), so I'm logging to see my total calories and my ratios of fat, protein and carbs. Agh. I need to eat more protein and less fat, I think. We'll see how this goes. One part of my brain says, "slow and steady. It will come." Another part says, "Wah. I want more muscles and less fat NOW." But I know it will take time. Whether logging calories helps or hurts is the new experiment. 😊 (I've been logging my food in my BuJo for years, but not tracking calories/measurements.)

The Lose It app has been extremely instrumental in my weightloss!! I love how it syncs up with my fit bit to know just how much of the food I've consumed has been burned. It helps we judge if I should be having more protien in a day or not.
It's a really great tool, I think you will be happy with it! (Just ignore the tracking it does of that date it says you will hit your goal... that told me I would lose 100 lb in 4 months lol nope!)

  • First meal of the day, about 600 calories. Fasting has helped me enjoy bigger portions of the food I love and still stay in my calorie goal range. Now that I've done it for a few years it's second nature but I definitely built up to it. Have a great day everyone!

It's great once you get into the rhythm of fasting, but for me it's trying to not feel hungry in the morning and basically just getting started with intermittent fasting again. Glad it's working for you

Hi everyone! I am already down nearly 4 pounds (I'm sure lots of it is water weight) and I am feeling good! I posted last week about my love of a fast food breakfast, and I am happy to report today that I stuck to my oatmeal (with white chocolate chips and banana) and didn't give into my cravings!! One day at a time, right??

I'm feeling overwhelmed.
On the 2nd, someone I deeply cared for passed away, and I fell into a depressive state for about 5 days. As I was resurfacing I received the first round for the covid vaccine. The side effects were plentiful and knocked me out for four days. Also, I am teaching online because my school is closed again.
I feel like I never really got started this month. And now that the funeral is done with, my friend is gone, the depression has lifted, I can stand up without keeling over from the side effects of the shot. I'm standing, looking around at my dirty apartment, and my mountain of laundry, and all of my paperwork that has to get done, and I don't have a plan or routine. I feel so far behind because my July hasn't started yet. My life came to a stand still for 9, 10 days, whilst everyone else's continued normally. It's jarring. I am trying to get those 10 days back, but I can't. I am trying to get my life moving again. It is overwhelming.

So sorry for your loss:heart:. Just focus on one thing right now. If it’s cleaning your home-then focus on 1 room then move onto the next…if it’s your paperwork, one task at a time…I find I always try to do several things at once and then I’m overwhelmed and then nothing gets done.
