I had a big day today—and it was such a good one.

My husband and I went to Star Western Wear so he could look for jeans. I wasn’t planning on getting anything for myself. Honestly, I haven’t bought myself clothes willingly in over a year. But something in me said to just try.

I picked out a really cute white blouse in a size medium, a dress in a large, and a few other pieces. When I went into the fitting room, I had to give myself a little pep talk: “It’s okay if it doesn’t fit.” Even trying things on felt like a big step. But then something unexpected happened the blouse fit. And not only did it fit, it looked good. The dress? It looked beautiful on me.

I didn’t even want to come out and show my husband at first. This moment felt personal. But I ended up buying the dress for a date night, and for the first time in a long time, I didn’t need anyone else’s opinion to decide. I knew how I felt in it. I felt confident. I felt beautiful.❤

This is a big non-scale win for me—and a reminder that progress isn’t always measured by numbers. Sometimes, it’s measured in moments like this.

I did my grocery shopping and did the same, mostly healthy with a few treats. I've found some single serving treats I can make and that's been helping me with moderation.

I mix together half a serving of cottage cheese, half a serving of nonfat Greek yogurt, 1/2 tsp of sugar free orange jello mix, 1/4 serving of transform hq orange cream protein powder, half a serving of sugar free mandarin oranges (with a little of the juice), and a serving of cool whip. You can mix it in the blender, without the oranges, for a smoother texture, but I like the cottage cheese as is. You can change up flavors and fruits too. I like it for breakfast or a snack, it's a good protein boost.

I'm doing something way outside my comfort zone this week. I have always been most insecure around yoga girlies- they are basically who I aspire to be but feel like an imposter when I try because I am SO bad at yoga. Well, I joined a local studio with a trial offer and signed up for a class everyday for the next week. I'm doing my first aerial yoga class today, targeted at very beginners, and I am so nervous and excited!! Anyone else trying new things to stay active? Any yoga tips?

I had recently joined a fitness class. I was horrible my first day but I loved it! I kept at it because of how much I loved it. I am one month in now and I see a complete difference in myself esteem.

My point is… hang in there. Keep trying. Don’t give up on the first try. Everyone was once a beginner too.

I had a rough week with a migraine, I have chronic vestibular migraines, and it has held on all week. When I get a bad migraine, I get super dizzy and nauseous, and all I usually want is sugar or really bland food. I didn't do too bad with my eating, but no exercise this past week. I'm feeling a bit better today, so I'm going to try to get some movement in. It's so frustrating to get these migraines, I've literally tried most meds out there and combos of meds, PT, diets and I just can't get them under control. Here's hoping I can go a little while without another bad one, it's usually every couple of weeks.
