We have just over a week left to go. I’ve been losing, but not quite as fast as our 4% target. I might still make it, but even if I don’t I’ll consider it a win because I just got down below 160 for the first time in well over 20 years. It feels GOOD. I hope this last week brings you good results, too!

As for myself, I tracked my food religiously, 90% accuracy with a kitchen scale, tracked water, exercise. I am on a good track, but not easy. Probably I will just hit the target. 4% is quite a lot, not because it is so much in absolute value, but the body doesn't always lose weight, although I am getting lean.

Non Scale Victory: I was shopping a sale at a favorite pricey outdoor performance clothing store, and took some hip and waist measurements and was SHOCKED at the changes this summer. I know I’m MUCH more comfortable in my clothes, but the hip measurement specifically has dropped nearly 4” and blown me away. Consistency is an amazing thing. I’m still not sure if the weight will come off to specifically hit this DietBet target, but I am so happy with every other result, that I can’t possibly be disappointed if I don’t hit that. My endurance and strength is up, weight has been dropping, and now undeniable proof my size is changing in a big way. I’m feeling so grateful today and glad I made the effort these past few months!

Thank you! We all have differences, and that one measurement for me is one that has hardly changed in decades, even as weight and size has moved around, so it just seems SO exciting to me—like my body is saying Doing Great, Good Job!

That is such an amazing non-scale victory!! One of the best feelings is when you're clothes start to fit better and maybe even fitting into some things from your closet that were a bit too small before. Keep up the great work!

Make sure you are taking in enough calories, Joe! Also, it's important to weigh yourself around the same time each day for consistency. You've got this!

I never weigh during the day
I always weigh more from eating and drinking. The best time to weigh is consistently in the morning.

i dont have the attention span for a food tracker so I've been talking to ChatGPT about what i eat everyday and have it make suggestions on better options or tweaks. so far its been helpful. if anyone has the same ADHD brain as me and needs something else to help track.

I do calorie count with Lose it!, but even if you just put in what you ate, and not worry about the calories, I think it's a good way to hold yourself accountable. Eg, are you gonna have 2 slices of cake instead of 1 because you know you'll have to write it down?!
