Yum! You can bring down the calories by dry roasting the eggplant slices (no breading), using low calorie marinara sauce and adding only a few sprinkles of Parmesan on top (no mozzarella). Still divine and actually low cal! Enjoy!

Thanks Tammy. If I don't work out in the morning, it's not happening. Lol I have to force myself out of bed but always feel better and have more energy when I do. Go figure! Ha!

All right, I'm back! After about a month, I had to face the fact that my twisted foot won't heal fast. Time to switch to seated workouts and careful walks and keep my eye on the prize! Got to snap out of this, LOL!

You got this. It's hard to deal with an injury when you're trying to focus on fitness. Give yourself grace and adjust. Try to grab healthy options if you feel the need to snack or stress eat. I find myself desiring that binge less and less if it's healthy.

I hear twists do take a long time to heal up! I love your mindfulness and binding your intents by posting. Be gentle with yourself and get there one careful step at a time. Double-down on fighting that stress-eating (with ya' sister!)

  • Had a stressful week. Did some stress eating and didn't make it to the gym much. But I want to just jump back in and be focused for the next couple weeks before the end of Round 3. I have a couple of pounds to go. I'm mad at myself but determined not to EAT my frustration!!

  • Morning DB fam! I've been struggling with being sick and some anxiety issues. The gym keeps me sane but I've missed it due to the above and had only gone like 2 times in the past month! Went back this morning and it felt great. Elliptical plus weights. I'm forcing myself to prioritize working out as I know it will help me feel better physically and mentally. 9 days and 2 pounds to go in this round. I can totally do this!! I'm surpising myself, lol. I jumped into Annie's kickstarter (am I crazy? Maybe, probably) so I had to get my head into a different space and wow, my body is just cruising right into it like "finally"! I told my husband yesterday I feel like I'm waking up out of a fog I was in for a while. I'm bright eyed, bushy tailed and ready to take on new challenges. It feels so good 😊 Happy Friday!

I’m pretty happy today! Over the last 2 weeks my weight really hasn’t gone down. Today I went to the endocrinologist and she gave me great news! Back in January my A1C was 13.1. Very bad. My daily BC avg was 250’s. Well I’ve been working pretty hard to get healthier. Today my daily BC avg was 111 and my A1C is 7.5!!! Talk about a non scape victory!

I had been feeling pretty down about my weight not budging, but this was a pretty big boost for me!!

Awesome! Thats E ven better than the scale not moving (tho not for winning dietbets,). If you know what I mean. Dietbets are short and your health is long term so I’m the end you are a winner. Keep it up! Remember it’s only a bit of money, but I do hope the scale will move for you so you can win that too.

  • Gratitude is so important and can positively impact all areas of our lives.

    This is one of my favorite exercises I do in our Gratitude Attitude games on the WayBetter app. I wanted to also do it here, because a gratitude practice can also help us with our weight loss goals.

    Gratitude decreases stress and, in turn, stress responses like eating. It can also contribute to better sleep which helps with overall health. Starting the day with gratitude is a practice that will contribute to overall well-being, as well as establishing a habit that can then lead to establishing other great habits like goal setting, exercising, preparing healthy meals.

    So, for some fun this weekend - Let's start a gratitude chain!
