  • We've moved down one level of covid restrictions today in most of New Zealand - and that means we can buy takeaway coffee again 🙌

    Yum!!!

    And I mostly stuck to my healthy eating plan these last 2 weeks during total lockdown but did allow myself a few comforting snacks here and there. Without the ability to go to the gym I also climbed to the top of my hill 7 times in the last 2 weeks - a great 90minute return walk with stunning views.

Back into a country wide snap lockdown today after over a year of living with almost no restrictions here in New Zealand.

Gosh its tempting to comfort eat!!

I can report that by the end of day 1 I've stuck to the healthy food I'd planned to eat. I'm planning my online supermarket shopping order for delivery 2 days from now, might allow myself one treat but I have no intention of letting my desire to comfort eat knock me off track for this game.

I will make goal, but waiting until tomorrow to weigh in because I don't want to show a weight gain from my previous weigh-in for a game earlier this week. Vanity has crept over me!

I squeaked though this one again. I was under the final weigh in a week ago, but going back to the gym and lifting seems to have caused some water retention!

  • Trying out some new recipes - loved this (and only 240 calories!). Pan fried fish, with boiled then fried broccoli, with fried garlic, and topped with parmesan, lemon juice and chilli flakes. Bonus - insanely quick to cook too

  • Finished a half ironman; 21km run, 90km cycle, 1.9km swim. I took carb loading to a whole new level afterwards, but I'm back on track.

Yay! I remember how excited I was to get back to the gym when they opened again in New Zealand (but also weirdly nervous after only doing at home workouts and walks during lockdown)

I hope you get it straightened out! Us "pound" weighers enjoy higher numbers when we lose than those of you in the "kg" business, and this is a good reminder!

  • I had a rough day today 😥 I did NOT want to exercise and I wanted to eat EVERYTHING in sight! I finally just did it. I went for a walk/jog with the dogs for 45 min. I managed to drink over 100oz of water today and hit my goal step count. 😁

Those are always the best workouts, the ones I REALLY DON'T WANT TO DO. Those are the ones that remind us we can stick to our goals even when we don't want to.
