How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

When I first saw that I profited a whopping $0.09 on this challenge I was little bummed... but then I realized that my minimal profit was because so many of us won! My mindset changed quickly! Congrats to everyone!

I do feel saddened by all those who are upset about the money. I certainly didn't join DB to win money. I joined to be a part of a community of people working towards the same goal. The loss aversion also keeps me accountable. Besides, if your dieting to to gain money you should look into doin something else lol. Dieting can get expensive in and of itself, not to mention and entire new wardrobe, excersize equipment, or gym memberships.

Very true, it's not always profitable, but your health is the biggest gain for sure. :)
