How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

Does anyone else find that they get more anxious when losing weight? I feel like every time I get to a certain stage, usually the start of the diet or picking it up again after a few days off. Does burning fat increase adrenaline or something? Does anyone know?

Yes, Dieting can cause your body to release the stress hormones adrenaline and cortisol. You can read more about it by doing an internet search. Exercise helps burn off those stress hormones... as well as stored fat! A double plus!!

Thanks Beth. Yes I did a search before posting but all I could find were results about the psychological effect and this is something that feels out of my control. So yes, it does feel like adrenaline is being released. Yay for burning fat!
