How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

Why does water weight make such a difference? I had a good weigh-in this week but feel so dehydrated after going swimming yesterday. I feel like swimming helped with this weigh-in but feel very dehydrated this morning. Normally, I add in water when I feel like I am retaining it, but today, I will be adding in 80+ ounces because I am feeling sunburned and thirsty. How much water do you all drink everyday? Do you intentionally drink a certain amount more on days you workout? While my weigh in was good, I don't feel great this morning...

great questions. I aim to get a minimum of five 12 oz glasses untweeted beverages total (water, coffee, tea). I preload my meals with 2 cups cool unflavored water before each meal. I would also count black coffee or tea towards the total fluids. I aim to drink 3 cups of green tea between meals at least an hour after eating as to not interfere with iron absorption. I aim to drink water, black coffee or hibiscus tea with meals. BUT never large amounts of caffeine within six hours of bed time because sleep is important for weight loss too. And never more then 3 cups an hour cuz its too much stress on the kidneys.

TLDR: if your pee is never darker than a pale yellow your drinking enough, unless you eating Riboflavin-fotified food such as nutritional yeast. Those will make the pee dark regardless.
