How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

For those of you coming up on Thanksgiving - any strategies you're planning for the big day? We're actually having a guest, so my plan to be low-key and just make chicken and veggies is out the window. Now, I'm making turkey and all of the sides. But I'm planning to make some plain green beans for me and my daughter (celiac) and some sort of healthier (and GF) dessert. So, I think I'm going to end up making almost two meals. But I can't really afford a treat day.

I am at my parents’ home for the week. I took yesterday as a day to go over my calories, but plan on being careful the rest of the week. I am exercising each day as a way of getting some alone time. On Thanksgiving I will have small portions of everything and chew everything well. I am also going to drink a bunch of water this week so I am not dehydrated and thinking that it’s hunger. I also started a StepBet to take me through the rest of this diet bet. And I started Noom. I have about 60 pounds to go in my weightloss and like PD I. Am. Over. It. I’ve noticed myself eating crappy and while I’m not gaining, I’m certainly not losing the way I want to. I’ve come up with excuses and reasons and the truth is I eat too much and I need to be more aware of my food choices. (Duh.)

Long story short: exercising more this week, eating less other days, small portions and eating slow on Thanksgiving.
