How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

Hi everyone, did anyone else find this week challenging?

For me, it started out full of motivation and intention and then the wheels started quickly falling off and I wasn't even busy. Had an unhealthy takeaway one night and then yesterday tracked all day and was doing really well until I went to a friend's house and they pulled out all the leftover holiday chocolate, mince pies and crisps.
Emotional eating is definitely an issue for me but also that thing of don't think about a pink elephant (food)...all I can think about is a pink elephant.

I'm going to start trying affirmations morning and evening.
I am walking every day, even if just 5 mins to the shop.
I'm trying to use miso soup as a snack, hard to binge when your belly is full of liquid!

Any tips from the boredom/emotional/self sabotaging/comfort eaters here?

This week was hard for me too! My body was so used to sugar, wine, and bread from the holiday. I can be an emotional eater too. My tips:

- Journal when you're feeling emotional. If you don't have time for full sentences, even just jotting down your trigger, the feelings, and your initial responses helps you shift your brain from reaction to action.

-keep some healthier high-volume foods ready. Popcorn is a good one! If you like crunch, veggies with a yogurt dip. If you like sweet, find a Chia pudding recipe you like and add berries.

- take a walk or call a supportive friend when you feel the urge to emotionally eat. Distraction and self care are powerful tools.

I'm the opposite of Taylor, it's way easier for me to be perfect all the time than it is for me to start eating junk food and then trust myself to stop. The real trick is finding ways to make you comfort food healthy.
