Welcome All and best wishes on this challenge!!!

I’m in full fledge diabetic range and now on medication. I have a dream of losing 15-20 pounds and totally getting off the meds.
I went all of last year without even ONE sweet treat (ice cream, cookies, cake, pies, etc). Super proud of myself!!! But of course substituted my sugar cravings for breads and other carbs and basically stayed same weight and no blood sugar improvement. After going on a three day sweet eating binge I am ready to tackle this.

Good luck with this game and with finding fun and healthy sugar-substitutions! I’m a type 2 that used to be on Metformin and it’s a daily challenge to not give into temptation in an effort to keep that A1C down. You can do it!!

Thank you Mindy and Lynette for the words of encouragement. It is really awesome to see that you've both had success by sticking to a plan. Yes, Metformin is what I'm currently on and I am convinced it contributes to me feeling exhausted. I want off of it! We can do this together.
