How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

  • Almost halfway through—how’s everyone doing? What are you all doing to keep yourselves accountable? 💪?

I’m just 2 pounds away from my DietBet goal weight! I definitely enjoyed a little too much pie on Thanksgiving, but I’ve been staying active to balance things out. I log everything I eat, no matter if it’s a tough day or a great one. I also meal prep weekly and aim for 20,000 steps a day.

A little background about me: I’ve done a few DietBets before and have only hit my goal once—but that feeling was amazing, and it’s exactly why I’m pushing myself this time around. At one point, I was 110 pounds down from my highest weight. Then life happened, and I regained 65 pounds over a few years.

I took time to refocus, reflect on what truly matters to me, and now I’m putting in the work again. I’m currently 35 pounds away from my ideal goal weight—the weight I once reached before. As of this morning, I’m 78 pounds down from my highest.
