I just went on a last minute weekend vacation and flew back late last night, so i get this. Our daughter is a flight attendant so she invited me to join her on a trip.

The first thing I did when I got to the airport was buy a big bottle of water so I could stay hydrated. I also packed healthy snacks like granola bars and fruit. You could also pack a salad, wrap or sandwich. I also agree about walking around, I needed steps so I wandered around the airports.

I agree that posting this is the first step in overcoming this challenge. I can also assure you that planning ahead and sticking to your plan will make you feel on top of the world! Go for that feeling and know that you've got this Rebeccita!

  • Hey all, I recently started to eat more of a plant based diet, I made a traditional taco salad with this me’eat! I just added taco seasoning. It was amazing, even my carnivorous husband loved it! Have a great weekend!

  • Tofu is one of my favorite protein sources as a vegan, but wanted to promote it for everyone!

    Here are a couple of tips/benefits if you want to try tofu!

    1- It is so much cheaper than meat! I typically spend $2-3 for an entire package!
    2- If you bake/air fry it, it gets this crispy outer shell, which is a texture I prefer to the “spongy” texture that tofu can normally have. Go for the “extra firm” type it this is your preferred texture.
    3- It is a very lean protein source!

Tofu is one if my favorite foods. I have it nearly every day. My favorite is Trader Joe's Sriracha baked tofu. I just throw in a soup or salad or with their cauliflower stir fry. Delicious

Great tip! We love tofu! Sometimes I also freeze it, then thaw before cooking. It changes the texture and it’s really good!

Well, I messed up somewhere (I know where). 😆

I made sure for my initial weigh-in that I had no food in my belly, and I was post bathroom business to ensure I was 100% taking full advantage of this bet I took on my health.

I weighed myself this morning to find I’ve gone up almost four whole pounds.

Ohhh this is going to be a tough 27 days. Haha

I felt that in my soul. I've been in another healthy habits challenge, went off the rails so to speak, and am about to weight in. I lost 10 pounds in the first half of the challenge, only to be up another 4 in the second half of it. I'm coming back to dietbet for the old tried and true method for me. You got this!

Water is my secret weapon, too.
Before deciding to improve my health, I NEVER drank water. Now, I'm intentionally drinking only water (almost a gallon a day!) and it's magic! I don't need coffee to feel awake. I don't need snacks to feel full. I'm feeling so much better...with just water!
