Somehow I missed that the diet bet would be ending on St. Patrick's Day day. I love corned beef and cabbage once a year, but my body will retain a couple of lbs of fluid after eating it. So I will wait until after my final weigh in is approved to enjoy my yearly serving😋

  • Hey all, I recently started to eat more of a plant based diet, I made a traditional taco salad with this me’eat! I just added taco seasoning. It was amazing, even my carnivorous husband loved it! Have a great weekend!

I mix Greek yogurt and protein powder, then stick it in the freezer for 10 minutes, it’s so good!

Didn't do so great this week compared to past weeks but a vegan diet and daily walks kept me on track anyway. Feeling OK and like I can do well this week. Going for lifting weights and running this next week plus more whole foods

  • Tofu is one of my favorite protein sources as a vegan, but wanted to promote it for everyone!

    Here are a couple of tips/benefits if you want to try tofu!

    1- It is so much cheaper than meat! I typically spend $2-3 for an entire package!
    2- If you bake/air fry it, it gets this crispy outer shell, which is a texture I prefer to the “spongy” texture that tofu can normally have. Go for the “extra firm” type it this is your preferred texture.
    3- It is a very lean protein source!

Tofu is one if my favorite foods. I have it nearly every day. My favorite is Trader Joe's Sriracha baked tofu. I just throw in a soup or salad or with their cauliflower stir fry. Delicious

Great tip! We love tofu! Sometimes I also freeze it, then thaw before cooking. It changes the texture and it’s really good!

  • I sow a couple reels of people putting a scoop of protein into their plain greek yogurt, so I tried it out! It’s good! I also added some chia seeds, blackberries, dragon fruit, and raspberries.

  • Happy Monday! Welcome everyone! It's day one and we are here to crush our goals! If you haven't already, please introduce yourself and let us know where you are on your journey!

    I start every game with a post like this because it's so important to start off with goals and a plan!

    I recommend taking a moment to set some personal goals for this game. Once you've determined what your goals are (drink more water, workout goals, practice gratitude, sleep routine, etc), the key to success is having a SOLID PLAN in place and studies show that putting it in writing helps.

    Plan your meals - Write down what you're having each day and have the ingredients on hand. Meal prep can really help, too! This leaves no reason why you have to go out or grab something quick that may not be as healthy.

    Plan your workouts - Treat them like work and show up even if you don't want to go. You are the boss and you need to be tough on yourself. You'll always be glad you did!

    Track your water intake - Water is essential and we have to drink it! For some of us it comes naturally but for others, it's a chore. Find a way that helps you enjoy it and make it happen!

    Track your food - It's easy to forget about those little "grabs" we do when we see snacks on the table. This will keep it real. Whether it's writing it down or just taking photos, the accountability really helps!

    Get enough sleep - Getting adequate, quality sleep is an important part of a healthy weight loss plan.

    Have fun and relax - Self care is important too!

Hi - I’m Cindy from Southern California and it’s been awhile since I’ve been on a DB challenge. Looking to get back into it - I have a goal of losing 30lbs in 6 months, continue strong exercise, increase muscle tone and stamina, and enjoy new recipes that are healthy and tasty!

I’m hitting all the metrics this month that you outlined - I’m happy my sleep is getting better and I’m drinking way more water and planning all my meals. I have two work out classes per week (weights/body sculpting) - at least 4 30 minute brisk walks (sometimes longer - like today it was 90 minutes), and a weightlifting session in the gym on the weekends.
