I'm in peri and not on birth control, so my cycles come and go whenever they want. It's super annoying.

You might try weighing in at night in between rounds so that the number you're seeing aligns with peak bloat (it's usually about the same for me, anyway). Then you can track your progress towards your goal with a bit of a buffer.
