  • I’ve been experimenting with different meal prep ideas and I like to do things that can be frozen to save me time later. Here is my lunch today- frozen peas with a portion of frozen leftover slow cooker chicken. That recipe was basically cooking chicken breast with mixed veggies and low sodium chicken broth. I made way too much but now I have several portions frozen for my work lunches.

  • The 3rd challenge is the Nutrition Challenge!

    Here is the challenge if you choose to accept:

    *Eat 5 servings a day from the fruit/vegetable group, 4 days this week.

    It can be all vegetables or any combo of both. What is a serving? For the purpose of our challenge we will use the American Heart Association definition: Vegetables: 1 cup of raw leafy vegetables (about the size of a small fist), 1/2 cup of other vegetables or 1/2 cup of vegetable juice. Fruits: 1 medium fruit (the size of a baseball); 1/2 cup chopped, cooked or canned fruit; or 1/2 cup juice.

    One suggestion, but not part of the challenge: Please post at least one picture of a healthy meal you eat this week. It provides great ideas for everyone in our game! And remember to make healthy food choices in other food groups but we are not measuring those for this challenge.

    **At the end of the week I will ask you to comment under a post I will have pinned at the top of the game page. You will need to click on (comment) below that post and report in there. You will have until Saturday 10:00 PM Pacific Time to report in. I will then put all the players who completed this weeks challenge into our drawing for a $30 Amazon gift card or PayPal cash!

    Breakfast: Cappuccino protein mixed in my
    Coffee
    Mid-Morning Snack: Kale and Spinach Egg Bite
    Lunch: Creamy Broccoli and Chicken Casserole over couliflower rice mixed with jasmine rice.
    Afternoon Snack: Snack box with hummus, veggies, berries, cheese stick, and turkey pepperoni
    Dinner Menu This Week: Chicken Jumbalaya, Bang Bang Shrimp, Low Carb Pizza Casserole, Smash Turkey Burgers, and Leftover Nights.
    Snack: Greek Yogurt with Mini Nilla Wafers

Hi all! I’m Sabrina from central Florida. I lost 33 pounds back in 2022 and felt great! Last year between pneumonia, failed attempts to quit vaping, and vacation, then just giving up, I gained back everything+ 5 pounds.

I’m at my heaviest weight ever. My clothes don’t fit, I’m groggy and sluggish. I miss feeling how I felt when I lost before, but can’t seem to get back into the groove, so I am hoping this DietBet will help get me back on track!

Dietbets really help me get back on track. Having a deadline is very motivating :sweat_smile: otherwise I keep telling myself "tomorrow I'll do better". Maintenance is very hard though! We need maintenance dietbets for when we finish these to help us keep off the weight

Well, can't make my goal weight. I've very visibly leaned down, but too much muscle growth to have the lbs go down. I will still take that as a huge win 💪 will miss the money though lol
