I travelled and had been planning to make my weight early Monday morning. I was so close but I didn’t. I packed the scale and then I avoided all the sugary carb car treats I normally eat. And I did it!! With a little bit to spare!!

At my job, we all wear fanny packs as part of our uniform which we grab from the rack at work and put on at the start of the day. I'm used to having to adjust the strap to be bigger every single shift as I'm definitely bigger than the other girls there. Today was the first day I actually left it on the "small setting" and did not have to adjust. Huge accomplishment for me & so encouraging!!

I did a hiit workout today. I haven’t done one of those in years. I couldn’t do it this am. Just didn’t have the energy/motivation. But was able to do it today! Yay!!

So I am always sore after exercise. It doesn’t seem to matter how consistent I am. The soreness goes away after 4-5 days at which point I am typically about to start exercising that muscle group again. My husband chuckles because I’ll ask him to massage but can only handle a light touch. Besides ibuprofen anybody have ideas. Doing less doesn’t seem to be an option because even 10 reps of whatever exercise will cause soreness. 100 reps doesn’t seem to cause much more

Thanks for the ideas. I do drink—maybe I need more. and do 5-10 min of stretching after and before- has always felt pointless because flexibility has never increased but I’ve heard I should so I do. Never tried vibration plates. That’s a fascinating idea.
Soreness comes after most exercises squats lunges deadlifts clamshells pushups dips lifts curls flys back extensions horseback riding, running, hiking etc.

Make sure to not miss the electrolytes, there are lots of options, with flavors or non-flavored to add to your water, if you don’t have enough electrolytes, you won’t be able to get as replenished as you need to. Also stretching is very helpful. I also do a vibration plate, so I agree with everything everyone said.:blush:

  • It’s Workout Wednesday!

    Exercise is an important aspect of staying healthy! The saying "use it or lose it" is very true and every little bit counts! I prefer working out at home - either using my walking pad or finding a workout on YouTube (there are TONS to choose from!)

    What are you up to today? Can you do anything different to add extra activity to your day (park farther away, take the stairs instead of the elevator, etc.)?

    Perks of regular exercise include:
    -Controls Weight
    -Helps improve or avoid health conditions and diseases
    -Improves mood
    -Promotes better sleep
    -Increases energy

My hubby and I have opposite 'fitness' days so the other can cook on their 'off' day. Today, I'm thinking a nice brisk paced walk would be great and maybe a little dancing (which means I've got music on and I'm dancing while dusting/folding laundry, etc). I hear he's grilling chicken and veggies...

I took my 4 yr old for a bike ride. She’s gotten faster so it was a whole lot more running than normal. Not fun. I was quite sore.
