Walking my dogs! I take them 1 at a time and the trip around our neighborhood is about .75 miles. They like to go before sunrise and I do too. They get to look for bunnies and I can listen to an audiobook.

For muscle building, I like to workout with Caroline Girvan videos.

I suck at losing weight this round. I had to have my baby girl dog of 16 years euthanized, and I have been binge eating everything that’s bad for me. So of course I’ve put on more than I’ve lost the 1st round. Ugh!!!

I’m rebounding from being sick (bad head and chest cold) these last two weeks. Last week really kicked my butt, so I had to give myself grace to rest, resulting in me getting kicked out of the StepBet I had signed up to coincide this DietBet. It’s hard to mentally allow myself that reprieve as I don’t want to “slack off” and not meet the monthly goals. But my body needed the rest to heal. I’m now at 98% and got my energy back, so I can get back at it. It’s hard to break the mental shame cycle. I’m working on it, trying to focus on the positive change I’m seeing in myself since the start of this bet.

What was I thinking? I was in the honeymoon glow of the transformer that I started at the beginning of the year. Things were going well but I have stalled. I most likely will not be able to make this goal that seems easy enough when I signed up

I’ve lost and gained back and lost and gained back so much weight it’s embarrassing. Don’t give up and keep at it and hopefully you will continue to trend down.

On Sunday I was 0.4 lbs away from my goal. I knew it would be tough but doable to get it by Monday. I hydrated, got a lot of activity in, and had a good calorie deficit. Yesterday when I weighed to submit I was 1.6 lbs over. I was so frustrated and spent the day wallowing. Today is a new day and the self pity is gone. I am extra motivated to get round two!

Not that this helps but I usually weigh in the morning and I was up this morning. I stuck to my plan and took my walk breaks at work. I got home and I was down. Weigh yourself multiple times a day the next weigh in but don’t report until it is down. My weight fluctuates daily and during the day. I hope you get it next month!

Did a 13k training run and didn’t weigh in first… weirdly I was up a pound instead of lower. I still made the goal. Could it be water weight from drinking to rehydrate? Not too fussed, but surprised!

For shorter runs I notice a weight loss, but not longer runs. A fast-ish 5k is my hack for when I am just a little bit over my goal.

  • Well do my normal morning routine and weighed at the normal point. Up .3 pounds since yesterday and I have a feeling it was the sodium in the Smart Pop popcorn I ad yesterday. I knew it when I grabbed it but my son and I had to go to take care of rescue puppies at normal dinner time.

    I really did not want to think about weigh in until tomorrow so I went to the gym and walked for 30 minutes and back down to what I was yesterday. Yea! Off to drink my coffee and lots of water.

    I hope you all have a good weigh in.
