  • It’s been a lovely week of travel and multiple family celebrations! I’m happy that I managed to balance enjoying meals out with staying on track with my goals, and also glad to be home where it’s easier to put choices on autopilot.

  • Had some old zucchini to use up so I made this egg whites, cottage cheese, tomato and shredded zucchini bake. So yum

Oh yum!!

Sharon T.

Sara I often make it with baby spinach instead of the zucchini and that’s good too!

Bravo!! That is an awesome thing to celebrate!

Sara D.

That’s awesome!! I’m just back to running after an Achilles injury and relate to your feeling a bit emotional ? Such a great sign that you were able to sustain 10 minutes on just your second run back!

Yesterday one of my kids in my class had a birthday so there were cupcakes.....I tried so hard not to eat one but did it anyway. Then, after my allergy shots, I decided to get cookout. There were not many good choices yesterday, but I did still track everything and went over by 305 calories. I feel it this morning... yuck! Today is a new day, and I will make better choices!

Happy thursday!

Thanks everyone!

Sharon, yes, I am a 1 year old teacher. I absolutely love it. I have been in my class for 17 years. They are a handful but so exciting getting to watch "the firsts" of everything.

Cheryl S.

The good thing is you still logged it. Way to be honest with yourself. I used to find myself omitting the things I shouldn’t eat but realized lying to myself only hurts me. Good attitude for being human. We’ve all been there.

First round’s always the easiest. I hope I can maintain it.

I made my goal, but just barely! This round I learned that either my maintenance calories are lower than I thought, or my tracking isn’t super accurate. I think I found my sweet spot this week though, and I’m glad to be headed into Round 2 with a better sense for what works for me.

Two pounds under my goal weight! The plan is to beat next month's goal, too. I tend to hit walls halfway through, so it would be great to have a head start and solid habits ready when that happens.

Congratulations, Stacey! 2 lbs beyond your goal is a huge achievement!

Mary

Same, I tend to do well at first, then hit a plateau. My plan is to not get depressed and give in to cravings…just keep plugging away. Congratulations Stacey.

Made my weight exactly! Now to plan for this next month of weight loss. Gonna switch up my recipes a bit so the food doesn’t get boring. Maybe some Italian beef in the slow cooker this week.

Congratulations, Lindsay! I’m looking forward to a refresh going into the next round too. I especially want to increase my fiber intake, so more beans and edamame pasta for me. Your Italian slow cooker beef sounds delicious!

Mary

Good job Lindsay! I am excited for what the next months holds, but also nervous, hoping I can keep up my momentum!

I expect to barely make my weigh in this round. I’ve been sick and needed to eat more, but luckily I had already met my weight goal before I got sick. Next round is going to be tough though since I had hoped to be ahead of schedule for this weigh in.

That’s so frustrating. But the fact that you met your round one goal early suggests that whatever you were doing before you got sick was working really well. You’ll catch up in no time! I hope you’re feeling better :)

Stacey Y.

You've got this! And even if one month is a struggle, there's always the next month - plus the goals get smaller as we reach the end. Eyes on the finish line!
