  • Hello everyone, welcome to our spring game! Our game officially starts today & I am so excited/grateful to have you all here! For those of you who don't know me - my name is Lexi (fatgirlfedup) & I joined my first dietbet January 2016 that helped me lose over 300lbs! I have been in multiple dietbets during my own journey, which is why i'm so passionate about hosting since I know they work. We will have others joining us for up to 14 days! If this is your first dietbet - welcome! If this isn't your first time - welcome back & i'm happy you are here to continue your journey! Remember every single healthy decision you make will add up to big results! I'm hoping to lose some pounds with you & can't wait to hit our goals together!
Some tips that helped me for our game:
    - WATER IS YOUR BEST FRIEND. Make sure you are staying hydrated! Water can help keep you full and boost metabolism!
    - PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR FOOD & MOVE! I use myfitnesspal constantly to learn about what i'm eating. It helps me track my food/workouts and is my favorite app. I also enjoy cardio but there's so many ways to move such as walking, hiking, biking - it all adds up, just keep moving and find what you enjoy personally!
    - PROGRESS PHOTOS: Sometimes you can't see the progress on the scale, having photos will show your progress also. I regret not taking more photos/videos in the beginning. Trust me, you'll want them! Plus I love seeing all your photos from the bet, so feel free to tag me!
    - LET'S ALL BE FRIENDS. Be sure to post often & be sure to use hashtag #fatgirlfedupsdietbet on social media so we can find eachother! Also feel free to share the game, the more people to reach our goals with the better!
    - DON'T GET DISCOURAGED. Never let the scale bring you down. It could be a number of things & our weight constantly fluctuates. You are so much more than a number!
    Let's do this! <3

Thank you Lexi! I’ve followed you for years, even whenever I had to switch accounts, I would find you and refollow you lol. I tried this DietBet last summer you hosted, and i started off strong but then life happened…and it kept happening. Now, I’m at a place in my life and mindset where I’m ready to do this and to make healthy choices for my body. I don’t do a lot of exercises as of yet bc of my mobility issues, but I’m working on it slowly to build it up safely. I’m keeping myself accountable in other ways as well. So, when I saw you posting another DietBet, I had to jump on it because I knew I’d receive additional support here and it’s another way to keep myself accountable. Excited to attempt this with everyone! Good luck everyone and remember to be kind to yourself, this journey is not perfect, and we have to always keep trying because we’re worth it!

  • I am very tired today ! I skipped my dumbbell workout today . I’ll go on my treadmill tonight.
This was an early lunch .
Also I was out running errands hungry and tired , stopped myself to buy some chips and candy ..,, glad I didn’t get anything

  • breakfast on repeat lately: lower sugar maple brown sugar oatmeal, peanut butter, & cinnamon on top! Sometimes I add fruit also. Yum! Most days I usually have eggs but just wanted a switch up. What's your go to healthy breakfast?

  • I’m obsessed with my hot honey bowls currently. Sometimes I throw in some scrambled eggs. It’s sooo good

  • Busy Saturday consisted of family time and yard sales, but still got steps in regardless! Sometimes the best forms of moving our bodies are the ones where we don't notice and those steps add up! Make it fun and get moving! I've been wearing a fitness watch recently and really enjoy the step feature (I used to wear a fitbit most of my journey) and challenging myself. How did you move today?

I did over two hours of yard work today. I can only imagine how many steps I got in! I did a lot of shoveling also.

That sounds like a fun and active weekend!

  • This week has kicked my butt... hard!!! Started getting a cold on tuesday, and it just kept getting worse. By Wednesday afternoon, it took all I had just to get home from work and go straight to bed. Spent the day on thursday and friday in the bed or on the couch. No energy to do anything! Then I started to feel a little better this morning to get an early phone call that my grandma passed away, so spent the full day of funeral home stuff. Tomorrow, I need to catch up the house and sanitize everything! Along with meal plan and clean out the fridge from last week. I didnt weigh myself at all. Gotta get back on it! Deep breath! Relax the rest of the night and start fresh in the morning.

Oh... and I missed my craft show that I worked so hard to prepare for =(

Katie, I’m so sorry about your grandma. That sounds like a hard week all around. I hope rest and a fresh house provide some comfort ?
