I don't mind being overweight but I want to be as healthy as possible and that means finding a new lower weight along with daily exercise. I am sick and tired of eating compulsively. Time for me to break the cycle!!

To me the best "diet" is one that you can maintain long term. Are you on a calorie tracking app/website? I use My Fitness Pal. It seems to have the best database of foods and is the easiest to add your own recipes to, in my opinion. Knowledge is power. Sometimes just seeing the in and out can do the trick. It's definitely eye opening. Some people have been amazed that I lost 40 pounds without giving up anything. What I did instead was to invest in a digital kitchen scale and a couple sets of measuring cups and spoons. Then, I weighed/measured and tracked everything. If I wanted chips for a snack, I'd check to see if I had the extra calories for the day (I try to put in the three big meals in the morning to help plan room for the cravings). If I did, I'd measure out some. Sometimes just seeing how many calories I had left convinced me to skip the chips, sometimes not. If I didn't have the extra calories, I'd either chose a different snack or go work out. You can do this. Measure and track everything. Prepackage snacks that are good for you AND that you LIKE to help you choose those over the junk. Make sensible choices that limit but don't eliminate what you really want. You can do this.

You can do this. Rough days happen to us all. But think of this as a marathon, not a sprint...you are in this for the long haul and one day at a time, you will get there. :)

I never gain an ounce, I gain pounds. It's frustrating for sure! You can do it though. 30 mins of yoga is great!! At some point when your doing 45 mins you'll think back to this post and smile

Don't be afraid to update your weight: here's the truth: while your loss so far is AWESOME and you are ROCKING IT, the truth is, your loss will *probably* not continue at the same pace. Believe me, you most likely will NOT keep losing 5 lbs every 3 days...so update your weight! You will still be within the limits of the DB

Hey Teresa...this game hasn't actually started yet. Are you referring to another game? Your official weigh in won't happen for a few more days as far as I know...good luck! And, the beginning usually goes fast then it slows to a more normal rate.

You CAN do it! And while it is true that you have purchased nothing TANGIBLE yet, look at it this way: you have purchased a 6 month membership in an exclusive online support community, you have purchased a "lotto" or "raffle" ticket with the chance to win big $$$ at the end, and you have purchased accountability and motivation for the next six months. And like you say, we have all spent MORE $ on all kinds of stuff, (especially FOOD, lol), and have gotten WAY less of a return on investment. This will be WORTH IT!
