How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

March 9

It's Wednesday and by now you should know what that means - step challenge day!

The target today is your normal daily step goal (OR past seven day average) plus an extra 500 steps. Not sure what that means? Please take a look at the comment on the Challenge Winner Board post. There's an explainer on that post to show you how to arrive at your goal for the day.

In summary, if your device has a step goal (i.e. 10,000 steps), then you just add 500 to that number - 10,500. If your device doesn't, just take the total number of steps for the last 7 days (March 1-8) and divide by 7 to get your average daily goal. Then add 500 on to that number.

It was pouring down rain here this morning (still is) so I couldn't get my normal walk in. So I'll have to get creative today on how I get my steps in.

I live in Kansas City. We woke up to only about an inch, but it has been steadily snowing all morning.
