How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

I haven’t exercised in a VERY long time because I have knee arthritis. My doctor recommended a stationary bike. So I did a 20 minute cycle workout for the first time 2 days ago. It was hard, but I did it. Anyway, the next day I had gained 2 pounds and I stayed in my plan. How could this be. Could the workout cause water retention or something since I haven’t worked out in a long time?

Definitely water retention. When you work your legs especially, this can happen.

I never lose anything for weeks when I start working out again. Then suddenly it starts!
Keep at it.
