I’m just curious before everyone goes. Am I the only one who only checks their weigh on the day of submission?
I actually don’t weigh myself often so every two weeks or every month during these competitions. Am I the only one or does other people also do two weeks to a month?

  • I stay healthy for both my granddaughter and I!! While I was out of my element the last 3 weeks helping my daughter take care of her daughter in another state.. I managed to still walk daily my 12-15k steps, eat my same “diet” and use the resistance bands I brought to still have some weight training!! Being a Grammy never felt so good!!! This is my goal weight.. thank you all for helping keep me accountable!!!

Need some sweet ideas (haven’t had much carbs and basically zero sweets since this started and I’m craving big time!). Something chocolatey without any sort of protein powder (hate that stuff) thanks!!

I do a Greek yogurt with 1/3 cup of a sweeter granola! I have one that has dried strawberries and dark chocolate pieces and it’s soooo good! It’s always just enough for me to get that craving satisfied.

Chocolate drizzled dates stuffed with an almond and unsweetened coconut! Yum!

Could you get a standing desk or a walk pad under your desk? Not sure if you’re in a private office or not.

Abby

I have a standup desk and a little walking bad and I do 2 or 3 walks a day while I work. It’s not fast or anything as I usually stay under a 3.0 speed but it helps keep me active throughout the day!

Fresh! What seasoning is that you used?

Kristina G.

Alison, I had some wild garlic, only wanted a bit, but the lid fell off and got tons of it :joy:. Luckily it wasn’t too much.. it’s quite mild in taste when it is dried..

I’m really struggling. We’re half way through and I’m only 27%. Which isn’t even 2lbs. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I guess I need to be even more strict with myself. 😔

There’s two parts to this advice, first if you are in a true deficit just be patient. I spent the last three days at the exact same weight…after two weeks of slowly slowly losing. This morning the scale jumped down two pounds (this is both after a lag and because I have 50+ to lose)

The second bit of advice isn’t helpful for winning the game, but that is less important than your long term physical health. And that is to maybe look at where you are if you are close to your goal. I don’t know you so I am just throwing out examples but if you are a 200 pound female then definitely just stay the course. But if you are 5’6 and 150 trying to get to 145…maybe 150 is your bodies happy spot. If hunger is causing you to “overeat” daily maybe either you are done losing OR you need to raise your deficit some to help the hunger. For example if you are eating 1500 and constantly hungry so you snack 500 calories worth you could try eating 1700 and really fit lots of fruits and veggies with that 200 to really bulk up your meals but still be eating less then when you get snacky.

Claire G.

This is good advice. The scale did jump 1.5 lbs this morning and I’m now 47% to my goal. But yes, from other times I’ve dieted I’ve found that I level off even when I’m in deficit. It’s been lovely getting everyone’s support and advice. That has also motivated me. Xxx

  • I was in a very bad car accident on Monday when my car struck a logging truck. I should not have survived, but by the Grace of God, I came away on a stretcher and not in a bag. I dislocated my hip and broke my pelvis. I am currently in the hospital and non weight bearing on one side. I am sure this means I am not going to be able to submit an official weight as I dont think I can stand on a scale properly for it to register. Time will tell.

However, I'm not giving up and am going to continue with the proper nutrition until the end. If I can do it, YOU can do it. Keep pushing everyone! You are strong! You are fearless! You are fighters! You are Survivors!
