I just made it this round! .2 under the goal weight! I am so proud of myself! I know I can do even better and will work to adjust my diet a bit but I did it!

I made it right on the nose, like holding the phone to take the photo almost put me over. Thanks everyone this means a lot to be going in the right direction. It was so hard because I joined the game 2 weeks in

Do you follow any inspiring/motivating people on IG? I really like Running4Meyer. She has a no BS style which I need. :)

Well... so much for my three-day weekend plans. I'm sick with a fever, headache, and sore throat. Time to try and get somewhere near 1500 calories with broth, tea, and jello so my body has SOME energy to fight this off with. Yeesh. Maaaybe I can keep down some soy milk.

Hope all your weekends are better than mine!

  • This group is really growing! We are going to have the best support system for the next 6 months!

I have seen some of you share other places you would like to connect and get support, so now's your time. If you're sharing your journey on Instagram, if you want support on FitBit or Peloton, or you want to share some Goodreads, etc... Drop the link below.

On one condition... 😉 You still share here! Part of the *magic* of these games are all the support and sharing everyone offers each other. So, come back, check in, support one other, and leave feeling inspired to smash your goals each day!

✨ My family is heading to Walt Disney World on Monday. So, while not strictly health and fitness related, I'm happy to support any of you on Instagram! Here is my IG account. If you're here for the Disney prize, you'll find plenty of that on my account, including our current trip! 😄

Also, while we're talking about our community, 1/14 is the last day for players to join and the last day for initial weigh-ins. So, if you've invited friends or have planned to, time is running out!

  • Here’s 6 weeks of a program a trainer friend of mine put together that I have done before if anyone wants to do a beginner friendly strength training program. I have up to 12 weeks. But here’s a start, not sure if it will be too pixelated or not to screen shot and zoom in. So I’ll post each individual one in the comments ❤

Making small changes. Decided to give up cheese. I always had problems with dairy but love cheese. The past week I gave up cheese (not forever) but maybe for a month or longer. I weighed myself and I have lost 4 pounds from last week. Giving up cheese is the only change I made. Going to try to add a small change each week. This week adding a green smoothie to add more greens and fiber into my diet.
Have you made any small changes that has made a difference for you?

I just had to cut out cheese (hopefully temporarily). That could be behind my rapid early loss, actually.

Giving up coffee creamer. My favorite morning drink. :joy:

  • Wow!! This game surpassed half a million dollars in the pot!! We're also closing in on 3,000 players!

It's so fun to watch this game grow and see all the support and sharing already filling our game! Keep it up! Community is what makes this so special.

If you’re new here, feel free to introduce yourself!

Let’s also take a minute to think about what we are doing this for. Share your “why” below or to the game feed. Also, give otheres a like if you have something in common or share a comment of encouragement!

You are amazing for believing in yourself enough to make this commitment! This is not easy and you may need to revisit your why from time to time, so this is a great time to write it out and display it somewhere as well!

My biggest why is because I want to be able to do more service related activities. I have some health issues that are probably never going away (per docs), but I’m finally at a point where I can try to live somewhat normally again, instead of just aimlessly surviving the pain day after day. One thing a person told me last year that really stuck with me is, “if you don’t spend it (money and time) on your health, you’ll spend it on your illness”. I’m fed up of being sick and want to do what I can on my good days to improve the likelihood that I have more of them :)

I have had a slew of medical issues this past year from multiple bouts with COVID, pneumonia, and demobilization from blown discs in my lumbar. Weight is always a factor in my overall health and I need to get it under control. My wife and I have an active family with 6 kids at home ranging from 3-17 years old and I hate that I cannot be more active or energetic with them.
