  • Today I finally reached Onederland! I have not been here since 2016. And I only stayed there for a short time before gaining everything back. This time I’m taking it all the way to my personal goal of 165. I feel very proud of what I’ve accomplished so far. I never want to go back to what I was over 45 lbs ago. Honestly, it has not been very difficult for me by using both DietBet and WayBetter games to keep me engaged everyday and giving me what I call my “daily task list” of heathy things to accomplish everyday. 34.8 lbs to knock off this body! I’m ready to make it happen!!

What does it mean if you do not hit your goal weight for the round? I can tell that by around five and six, you have to hit the goal to continue. But what if you didn’t hit the goal this time or maybe even next time?

Each round you don’t “win” just means you lose that monthly prize. You’re only out of the running if you don’t lose at least 6% by the round 5 weigh in. So you could technically not win any of first rounds and still win final weigh in if you get the 6% for round 5 and the 10% for round 6.

Dietbet / Way better makes a KILLING on these games.... I've been doing these for years and as positive as they try to seem.... they take all the money and give us back pennies, IF THAT. I "won" a different game this month and literally didn't get back even 1 cent....dietbet took it all

The breakdown of winnings is covered in the game FAQs https://support.waybetter.com/hc/en-us/articles/4413562805907-Make-the-New-Year-Magic-Transformer-FAQs. Half of the bets for each round go toward the final pot. 25% of the pot goes to DietBet, but the reason the entire amount is represented is because that is the amount pledged and that can change throughout the round (with players leaving with medical refunds, without refunds, payment changes for future rounds, etc.) so those final numbers can vary up until the end.

As a Round 1 winner I won $20.60…is that because half of my January bet went into the Round 6 pot? I guess I thought I would win my entire bet back each month, I’ve never played a Transformer game before.

Can someone who has done this before help me understand? Thanks!

I’m not personally in this to make money. I join these because I’m stubborn and don’t like to lose money so it makes me stay focused and lose weight. The extra money is a bonus. The goal is to lose the weight. If money is the motivation you’re probably better off just investing it.

Yes, I think the incentive of not losing money is the magic for me. I just wasn’t sure how the timing would work, but this system makes good sense.

I’m not aware of MVP receiving a prize in this game. Usually it is something listed in the info when you join. You can ask the host.
