It takes 4 weeks for you to see your body changing; it takes 8 weeks for your friends and family; it takes 12 weeks for the rest of the world.

you don't need to go to the gym to lose weight/exercise.....walking is great you can always look up videos on youtube and do them at home. there's ton of movements that only require your body. so keep up the good work and you\'ll start to see results.

Juanita, I understand the need to keep things simple, and I want to caution you about going too sparten. In order for this to work long term you need to change your lifestyle, and I fear that with so few options you'll either blow a day and give up or, once you've reached your goal, go back to all your old habits. That has certainly been my past experience. What you've got written is sound, and I encourage you to consider a little more variety. Also, I highly recommend Chris Powells carb cycling books. He makes a great argument for a diet that can become a lifestyle. Good luck!

Lynda, Thank you for the advise. LOL, I am now responsible for some of my grandchildren! 7, 12 and 13! This is going to become very difficult, but I am determined to stick to this diet. I am going to try for at least two weeks to stick to a basic diet plan, take multiple meal options out of the mix so I can focus on other current issues in my life. I do want to add variety, but too many options had me thinking about food all the time. That was counter-productive for me.
I will look for the book/s you mentioned and see if I can adapt to that plan. I love and miss my crabs, but I also need to watch which crabs as I am also per-diabetic. Diabetes requires a life style change. That is the main health reason for this attempt to lose weight. Again, thank you.. I need and want someone to work with! and be accountable too.

Yesterday was a good day for this dietbet! But lousy otherwise. Life...
I walked yesterday, something new for me. I usually like to accomplish something when I am active. Today I am going to do yard work, and lol, hope it rains so I can weed and transplant some flowerbeds.
Yesterday I went shopping, eating well costs a lot! Not sure how long I can afford eating well.
I had no internet yesterday, so was not able to upload my photos until this morning.
Good luck to all! I know it reduces the win, but I want us all to win!
