Well, I've only made it to 33% of my goal, so I don't think I'll be winning this game unless I really step it up. BUT that's better than I've done in months. Baby steps. šŸ‘¶

This is a slower month for everyone... don't give up!!!

It's always up and down for me. I have binge periods and then most of the time, I'm right on the money. Those baby steps add up, you only fail if you quit, and even then there is always the opportunity to begin again! Hang in there!

Iā€™m really struggling. Weā€™re half way through and Iā€™m only 27%. Which isnā€™t even 2lbs. I donā€™t know what Iā€™m doing wrong. I guess I need to be even more strict with myself. šŸ˜”

Thereā€™s two parts to this advice, first if you are in a true deficit just be patient. I spent the last three days at the exact same weightā€¦after two weeks of slowly slowly losing. This morning the scale jumped down two pounds (this is both after a lag and because I have 50+ to lose)

The second bit of advice isnā€™t helpful for winning the game, but that is less important than your long term physical health. And that is to maybe look at where you are if you are close to your goal. I donā€™t know you so I am just throwing out examples but if you are a 200 pound female then definitely just stay the course. But if you are 5ā€™6 and 150 trying to get to 145ā€¦maybe 150 is your bodies happy spot. If hunger is causing you to ā€œovereatā€ daily maybe either you are done losing OR you need to raise your deficit some to help the hunger. For example if you are eating 1500 and constantly hungry so you snack 500 calories worth you could try eating 1700 and really fit lots of fruits and veggies with that 200 to really bulk up your meals but still be eating less then when you get snacky.

This is good advice. The scale did jump 1.5 lbs this morning and Iā€™m now 47% to my goal. But yes, from other times Iā€™ve dieted Iā€™ve found that I level off even when Iā€™m in deficit. Itā€™s been lovely getting everyoneā€™s support and advice. That has also motivated me. Xxx

I fell off the wagon today because work has been stressful. šŸ˜£ But as long as I get back on tomorrow, right? šŸ™

Same! But we can get back on track
One day doesn't decide the whole week or the entire month. We got this!

This one is going to be a toughie! I've got to get to 203.5 from 212. I haven't broken below 210 in over a decade. But I've lost 39 lbs so far, I'm not going to let another 9 stop me now!
I still can't run, so that isn't helping. I thought my metarsalgia had chilled out, but noooo, I couldn't even walk my dog. I have ordered some custom insoles that are supposed to address it. Cross your fingers for me. In the meantime, I need to find an alternative, preferably healthily active, method of stress relief. Maybe I can make time to kayak more now that it's warming up..
Also, I just found out I got into grad school. I'm going to have to work my butt off, so maybe some of that will be literal? lol

Congrats on grad school! Work on getting solid nutrition and some kind of exercise routine in place before you start and it will make it was easier! I ended up my heaviest after 2 years of grad school. Just didn't have time for as much activity and failed to get a good nutrition routine in place.

I used to use my fitness pal but it seems that now you have to pay for it. What does everyone use to help stay accountable?

If you use a tracker - like Fitbit - it has a food tracker in the app. I also use Noom.
