  • Ending our game strong with a workout & looking like it could go either way tomorrow for my weigh in, but not giving up! It was a busy weekend but I adjusted my schedule & stayed on track when it would have been easier to rest or just eat out so thats a win to me! I love the accountability that dietbet gives us & all the constant positivity here! I was in my own head a bit today about feeling like I may not hit my goal but also reminded myself that I'm here & thats a win no matter the number! I also reminded myself that I made good choices this month, + focused on the other wins like I even hit a HUGE milestone of 300lbs lost (again). Just a reminder that we only fail if we give up, we got this guys! <3

Thank you guys all for the support, i was shocked this morning when i woke up and had actually hit my goal! Just a reminder that when we feel like we're struggling or debate throwing in the towel that's when we must keep going because we never know the outcome if we dont try! <3

Good morning friends! So..I've lost 2lbs this month. (12.4lbs in January)
I've been 100% with tracking my intake. I've spoken to a couple people, they think I'm not eating enough.
I'm eating 1400 calories, trying to stay 45% protein (100-150g), carbs 35% (135g) & fat 20% (34g), low sodium etc. 64+ ounces water. No soda, alcohol, like no fast food, no fried food, no junk sweets. Totally healthy.
I'm 53, need to lose 70-100lbs more.
Post menopause! I can't exercise alot. Just walking in a store is a challenge. I need both my knees replaced. Yesterday I did 3300 steps and was in so much pain. Freakin hate it!!
Does anyone have any advice??
How many calories are you eating to lose weight? How do I know what my macros should be? Any advice is appreciated!!

I would agree with lowering your carbs. Maybe add high starchy carbs to the list of No's...Bread, Rice, potatoes, etc. Also make sure you're drinking lots of water. I have added intermittent fasting in. I prefer more of a Keto diet. It works for my body type. Try using the "carb manager" app. Your Macros will be opposite of your current ones...Fat being the highest, then protein, followed by carbs. I've had great success and it's really changed how I look at food.

I can’t lose weight if I’m over 1200 calories. I’m 153cm and 48 years. Cutting carbs and sticking to high protein and low calorie is the only thing that works for me. I threw the rule book and everyone else’s advice out the window and experimented until I found a range that works for my body.

  • I’m 4 pounds away from being under 200. I started working out and eating healthier when my kiddos went back to school in September. I have lost 76 pounds since then. I haven’t been under 200 since before I meet my husband 13 years ago. Now my problem is all my clothes look like dresses on me. Haha

Consistency and Sustainability. You need to be more consistent over time than you’re not and you need to pick a workout and a nutrition plan that works for you. FOR. YOU. It’s not a one size fits all world- different things work for different people. It needs to be sustainable- this is for your lifetime. Not just 4 wks.
