  • Forgot to take a picture until I was almost done, but breakfast today was two egg whites and one whole egg, a piece of whole grain (Ezekiel) toast with a light spread of grass-fed butter, and a sweet potato (diced, light drizzle of EVOO, garlic and onion powder, air fried until tender).

Peep my bestie keeping an eye on things 👀🐶 (always thinking with her stomach, true to her Labrador roots 😂)

  • I usually go for quick lunches - today was a chickpea salad sandwich with tomato and lettuce on a whole grain sandwich thin, and veggies with hummus and guac. I also had a hard-boiled egg (not pictured) ☺

That looks like a great plate. And thank you for reminding me that chickpea salad exists — I haven’t made it in ages, but it’s so good!

Very nice

I didn’t take any pictures, but here’s what I had to eat today!

Breakfast: 3 egg whites, whole grain toast, coffee
Lunch: left over high-protein pasta (https://thefoodiephysician.com/pasta-with-creamy-cottage-cheese-sauce/, I used chickpea pasta) and some sliced cucumber with dill
Dinner: BBQ chicken (Primal Kitchen unsweetened) with brown rice and roasted butternut squash
Snacks: banana, yogurt bowl (plain Greek, berries, chia seeds), boiled egg, handful of Simple Mills crackers

Yum! Are you gluten free?
Thanks for linking the pasta recipe. I want to try that. Was it good?

Heidee P.

I am not gluten free, I just sometimes use chickpea pasta to reduce carbs. I also keep whole wheat pastas on hand and switch between them! The recipe was very good! I also added sautéed onion and mushroom to it, too. :relaxed:
