How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

Hi friends, I’ve been struggling the couple weeks. Going back to work has really put a damper on getting in a workout, not just because of time, but I work on my feet and without that stress relief I’ve found myself having a cocktail more often. Trying not to be too hard on myself and refocus on my why’s.

So what I want to know is; what’s your why? And how do you stay focused?

Patti— maybe try some vitamin gummies.

My 'why' is just being healthy and getting back to where I used to be. Really, I've run out of excuses and I'm tired of being mad at myself. I wasn't always heavy, but started to gain weight when I quit smoking at 35. It was just a little at first... maybe 25lbs. I was just getting ready to drop that weight when I then lost my brother at 47 to a heart attack, my mother to cancer, and my father when a tree fell on him (seriously... a damn tree fell on him) in less than 3 years. I ate my feelings. And the feelings of anyone else who felt anything... like ever. Thing is: it's been almost 8 years since we lost my dad and I hadn't been getting back in shape. I'm not getting younger, and it's not going to get easier as I approach my fifties. I feel like I've dodged a bullet not getting any major health issues yet, and I finally just said, "Enough is enough." The only way to stop being upset with myself about bad choices is to make better ones. The only way to feel better about how I look is to work at it. And the only way to feel great is to do things that make me feel great. It's time.
