How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

I fluctuate between feeling confident and optimistic to feeling scared to change. The phrase “I’ve done this before!” Can feel encouraging knowing that my body works for me when I feed it what it needs and move more - at the same time it’s that fear of failing again and if I gained it all back last time how will this time be different?! I truly want to have more and more of my actions be a vote for the person I want to be and I know I’m on that journey. My long term goal is to be an iron woman (many smaller goals along the way, like I’m training to race walk a marathon now). I’m just having a hard time visualizing myself as an athlete, fit and healthy. Which is why I joined this group for inspiration, motivation, and accountability. Thank you for letting me share and put my fears down so that I can face them head on! I can do hard things!

I can totally relate and understand exactly where you're coming from
Unlike learning a completely new skill, the burden of past failure can cast a lot of doubt on our self belief. We're dealing with having to upgrade our mindsets

Here's a thought process I'm practicing now... Both Doubt and Confidence do not really have any bearing on my ability to execute TODAY. And how I show up TODAY is all that matters.
The feeling can ride with me but it cannot drive

You ARE an athlete at any size! YOU CAN DO HARD THINGS!! Now you need to repeat this daily. A marathon is HARD! I did one 4 years ago and am trying to get back to 5k after injury and surgery. I totally understand the way the mind undermines our progress and goals. Keep prioritizing your health and fitness journey!!
