How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

  • A pretty radical NSV that I'm very happy to be able to share. I had never really thought about eating my way to becoming diabetic, that was for really really fat people, but then sudden I was one of those really really fat people... and it became a very sudden reality last year.

I developed very severe sleep apnea last year that resulted in a pretty rapid weight gain (on top of the excess 100ish I was already carrying). An absolute and cumulative exhaustion and lacking the capacity to do much more than order takeaways a lot of the time was a pretty strange and debilitating torture.

I'm so glad to now have a CPAP machine since late December that allows me restful, uninterrupted sleep and the brain space and energy to prepare food and move my body again.

Slow and steady, no more bullshit plans, no over restriction and then inevitable binging or quitting. Realistic expectations and regular goals.

Consistency not perfection. Keep at it!
