How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

I've had a problem for a while, Dinner! Altogether there are 6 of us ranging from a little picky to extremely picky. We have settled into a rotation of meals everyone will eat but most nights the main dish is pasta or rice. Pasta is one of my triggers foods, one bite and boom I've gone up for 2nds and 3rds before anyone else has finished their first. What's worse is I don't want to leave the table before everyone else so I sit there and eat more and more. And then the kids get up and leave and I eat their plates. I wish I was exaggerating. Today we had a soup that was heavy on pasta. Before I had any I had a HUGE salad. It made a huge difference!

1. It took way longer to eat, two of my kids were done before I even finished my salad

2. I got a ton of veggies and fiber which I really need to get back in my diet

3.Typicaly I will pass out on the couch almost immediately after dinner but today I seem to have a lot more energy. We did just spring ahead so maybe it's that, but for now I will credit the salad.

Niiiicccceee!! Love your observations!! Apparently (from a book I'm reading), starting your meal with veg/fiber flattens out the glucose spike (which helps with weight loss, mood, energy, better health, etc.) than if you start your meal with sugars/starches (i.e., pasta). It's recommended to eat veg/fiber, then protein, then sugar/starches. Interesting!

I'm a pasta fiend, too, so I make sure it only takes up 1/4 of my plate when I make it and fill the rest with veggies and some kind of protein.

It works, but I could probably still eat a few plates of just pasta afterwards. Like mashed potatoes and Brazilian cheese rolls, it's a food that just doesn't seem to register as anything in my stomach.
