How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

How is everyone doing? This has been a rocky start for me.....and I planned ahead by meal prepping.

Is anyone on here doing a zero carb diet (carinvore)? I have been doing it for a while but recently tried adding produce back in, and my stomach is pretty messed up. Anyways I would love some carinvore recipes if you have some. I will post my favorite in comments.

Cutting out carbs like veggies for a long time will change the microbiome in your gut and then when you add then back in you no longer have the good bacteria that you need to break them down which will cause issues. I have been told by my Dr I need to do a low fodmap diet which eliminates a lot of specific veggies which are "prebiotic" and feed specific good gut bacteria but can cause issues in large amounts. They don't recommend being on it for more than 6 weeks before reintroducing some of those things because longer than that will cause a die off of the bacteria which are needed to digest it and will likely make you feel terrible eating them until or if you can build back that bacteria population. Have you been taking probiotics? They recommend that during elimination diets to help keep your gut microbiome in balance. And carnivore or any diet that cuts out foods is going to need some support in that respect.

I’ve found that it’s far more sustainable to just avoid breads and pasta rather than cutting out all vegetables and fruits. You can always order sandwiches without a bun or on a salad etc. For example, I make sloppy joes but I put the contents inside a sweet potato. It tastes better and it’s less messy!
