  • I've been pretty dang consistent this month with exercise and diet, not perfect by any means.... But doing better than I have in the past. THE SCALE WON'T MOVE!!! I know consistency is key and I can see the difference in my body so it's paying off, but goodness it's so discouraging!!

Chrissy, restorative work is basically self-care. Stretching, foam rolling, meditation… anything that down regulates the nervous system and reduces stress. :grin: We’re really good at working out our muscles and working up a sweat. Having a bad night. 😥 I went to a town council meeting to stand up for a good cause, and they put the meetings on video. I saw the part where I spoke. I had no idea I looked that fat. You have an idea of what you look like, and it's not the same as what is seen on the outside. I started crying. I know we all have different ideas of 'fat' and our friends will always say we're not fat, but I didn't know I looked like that, waddling in on camera. It just hurt so bad. 😭

Meg, this has happened to me, too. Im so sorry. It really hurts badly! You described it so well......how shocking it feels to realize you look different than you think you do. And then the pain hits hard! But, I agree with all of these strong and stunning women who loved you enough to comment. They are right! This IS your motivation. USE it!! I also think, and I am learning maybe for the first time ever, how mean I have been to myself and how wrong that is. Never feeling worthy....or enough. That comes from painful losses, wounds, and being a deeply sensitive person. But, self-love is so important. We really can be our own worst enemy! But how about being our own greatest champion? You felt strongly enough and cared enough to go and advocate a good cause. What about standing for YOU?? You are so, so, so worth it. I think self-love starts here. Now. Being imperfect. Being overweight. Today. What.....so we're only going to give ourselves love when and IF we become thin or at our goal weight? Because we ONLY deserve it if we weigh less? I admit it.....I have been guilty of that stinkin thinkin!! But, as I write this, a new truth is really sinking in.....I really do deserve to love myself today. And, so do you. So does everyone on here! It's just so good to be able to share like this and to lift one another up. We all really deserve it! Blessings to you, sweet girl.
