  • I was in a very bad car accident on Monday when my car struck a logging truck. I should not have survived, but by the Grace of God, I came away on a stretcher and not in a bag. I dislocated my hip and broke my pelvis. I am currently in the hospital and non weight bearing on one side. I am sure this means I am not going to be able to submit an official weight as I dont think I can stand on a scale properly for it to register. Time will tell.

However, I'm not giving up and am going to continue with the proper nutrition until the end. If I can do it, YOU can do it. Keep pushing everyone! You are strong! You are fearless! You are fighters! You are Survivors!

Same here so I was very happy to weigh in under despite being heavier today.

Great job!

I have been on a weight loss journey for the last 3 years with a few setbacks causing me to gain weight again but never got back to my heaviest and have recently been consistently losing at a good pace. I’m now down 71lbs total and like 16 pounds since starting this. I have already beat my round 2 goal! I’ve been putting the hard work in so I’m not going to say it’s been easy but rather that I’ve never had so much success before. Just in the last few months I’ve dropped more than 4 sizes and I’m just so excited about it…can’t wait until I reach my goal weight in 79 lbs…hopefully by the end of 2024. To all of you struggling, don’t give up! 2 steps forward and 1 step back still equals 1 step forward and they add up before you know it.

Didn’t make goal… tbh even though I’m calorie counting, I REALLY struggled with going over most days. My biggest issue is saying no to snacks in the evening, that’s when I tend to go over my limit.

My Dr gave me some encouragement though so I’m feeling motivated for this next round!

I used to have that problem but I have started working out a ton and it seems like the more I workout the less I want to eat junk. When my hormones are going crazy and I have to have chocolate I eat 2.5 cups of skinny pop hot cocoa popcorn for only 140 calories. If I’m hungry for dessert I eat 1 egg life sweet cinnamon egg wrap with either fresh or frozen cherries or berries and some whipped cream from a can. It’s like 113 calories for a delicious dessert or snack that has a lot of nutritional value. I’ve recently started basically fasting without trying because I don’t get hungry much anymore but if I’m really hungry I eat. I think part of it is this program I’ve been doing that teaches you to pay attention to your body and only eat when you’re at a maximum hunger level and not just because it’s a certain time of the day.

What helps me is planning my snacks. Not going overboard. I have a draw with snacks in and I know I can eat about 150 - 300 depending on what I have ate in the day.I couldn't do this without snacking. I don't cut anything out and have been eating takeaways too I just plan them where possible. Some days not so great aiming for 80%.

I've been staying isolated in my room the last three days in hopes that I don't spread this Covid to my husband. Once the fever spiked, getting up wasn't really an option anyway.

I've *tried* to eat as much as I can, but it's been hard. I ended up losing two pounds over three days; I suppose it could have been worse. My fever has dropped three degrees as of this morning, so food doesn't sound totally disgusting anymore, though nothing sounds appetizing, either. My guess is I'll be back up to where I started within two or three days (which is as it should be -- getting healthy is more important than winning this round of the bet. I do think I'm still in the running even if I gain it back, though, because of the large initial loss during week one).

What are some healthy but bland foods? I've managed chicken broth with carrots and celery, plain Greek yogurt with frozen mango, a pear, and roasted sweet potato. I had a scrambled egg this morning, but that was a bit rough. Rice and raw or leafy vegetables sound especially gross. Popcorn sounds good, but my throat is so inflamed I think it would hurt. I'm open to any tips!

Raw beef heart is the most neutral thing I’ve ever eaten actually and insanely nutritious.

Bone broth is great too!

Cold plunge brrrr

Allie5

Not familiar with the cold plunge but we’ve had windchills below zero since Saturday night so I get a cold blast going outside and that’s too much for me. Lol
