    Additionally, as fat cells give up their fat for fuel they take on water to maintain their shape for a bit. That's why it's fairly common to see a stall or even a tick up in weight for a bit and then, whoosh, you'll see a big drop on the scale.

    Don't let a temporary stall or bump up in weight derail you.

    Weight loss is not a straight line, so kind as the overall trend is your weight decreasing, you are golden! Keep eating right, keep exercising and eventually the scale will catch up.

    Yes, it's frustrating. There is a feeling of "I did everything right! How dare the scale betray me like this?!?!?!"

    Be patient, be kind to yourself. Remember that life is a long journey and not a destination. Keep your eyes on the prize of being healthier and happier. That's the goal, not some arbitrary number on the scale.
