How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

I'm one of the ones that has gone quiet recently, but the truth is there's not been too much to tell. My wife and I tested positive for COVID last week, and the symptoms I felt actually started two weeks ago today. Fortunately we were vaccinated, so that made the symptoms not severe at all. But it meant being trapped at home (we even had someone go and shop for groceries for us once) and NO real exercise at all to speak of, since part of the problem was the fatigue that set in easily.

I guess the best thing that has come from this is that despite being stuck inside with all the food, I've been able to maintain my weight. Maintenance has always been a problem for me, so I feel like this is somewhat of a win.

I don't think I'm in any danger of not making my overall goal for this game, since technically I'm below. But my weight loss has certainly slowed - over the past month I haven't really lost anything. So now that we are sprung from our quarantine, it's time to get back out with some exercise and better eating habits!

Quarantine is the worst, so glad you made it through and didn’t put on any weight either. That’s a super achievement!

Feel better soon and give yourself time to recover. You got this! I would recommend logging workouts somehow, so you can look back and see progress, as slow as it might be. That helped me so much a few years ago when I had to learn to walk again after a long hospital stay.
Logging daily and weekly steps was so motivating. Just don't overpace it :)
