How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

I have never really struggled like this before. Anytime my weight has creeped up if I focus I always loose it. I'm having trouble with feeling like "what's the point, the scale is never going to budge" it's so maddening!

I've also always found that when I put my mind to it, weight loss can follow without too much difficulty - but it's getting my mind in the right place that can be challenging. I've been through a longer period than usual of acknowledging to myself that I need to do something, but failing to get my mind to shift tracks - but I've finally got there.

I hope you can rediscover that mindset. You _know_ the weight loss will follow and the scales will behave if you get that focus right and make the adjustments needed. Be patient too - initial results might be slower than you hope for, but will come and more after them.

I understand your frustration. Trying not to concentrate on the scale numbers is super hard. Try another focal point...Daily steps, walks, number of veggie servings, etc. You've got this!
