  • Good morning and welcome to the final few days of the game! As a group, we’ve lost almost 5500 lbs! I’m so impressed with all of you! Even if you don’t hit your goal this time, you’ve still made amazing progress!

    Let’s plan out our final few days together so we can be proud of the progress we’ve made. This week I’ve got some new protein bars for snacks, my meals planned out, and workout days ready.

  • In honor of watching the Two Towers last night, Gandalf brings you the final countdown!

    We have a week until the final weigh ins open for this game and I’m so proud of all the progress that I’ve seen here! I love scrolling the game feed and seeing the support everyone is getting.

    As a group, we’ve lost over 5k lbs! That’s the biggest weight loss as a group I’ve ever seen! All of you should be proud of the progress that you’ve made.

    Going into the final week, it’s time to keep making that progress even if you don’t think you will make your goal. I cannot tell you how many people don’t think they will make it and then crush it! You’ve got this!

  • Good morning and Happy Wednesday!

    It’s Workout Wednesday here! While my afternoon is full of meetings, the morning is for hitting the gym and getting in my workout for the day! Today is a just a treadmill day and while the treadmill is one of my least favorite workouts, I always feel better once it’s done. Today is speed drills. Hate them but need them at the same time.

  • Good morning and we have 9 days left in the game! Overall, you guys have lost almost 4,000 pounds!! That’s amazing!

    With that amazing progress, I want to remind everyone that progress is rarely a straight line. This image is one of my favorites because it shows we all hit our goals, even if hitting them gets a little off-line sometimes.

    But now is when we plan for our success for the week! We have our meals planned, we have our workouts planned, now we follow the plan. But we don’t berate ourselves if the plan goes off the rails a bit.

    Progress is moving forward and feeling better in your body. You’ve got this!

  • Good morning and happy Friday!

    Today is the start of my weekend so that means gym time and groceries. 🎉 Today will be full of errands with kid partners since there’s no school here today.

    But first it’s time to meal plan! Do you plan your meals or fly by the seat of your pants? I plan out meals for the week but have some flexibility built in for those nights when everything goes haywire.

I plan a weekly menu and post it on the fridge. Whoever cooks can pull idea from the list and cross off what is made. Groceries in fridge/freezer will accommodate the remaining items on the list. Usually shop on Sat, food prep on Sun.

We shop every 2 weeks, menu is set for dinner. I also meal prep my meals for during the work week.

    Today is a busy day between work, kids, and a cat, so an at home workout will be the name of the game.

    What’s your favorite at home workout to follow? Do you have a go to that you check in on YouTube? Is there an app you use? I’m always looking for something fun.

I have used Beachbody for many years. My mom lives about an hour from me so 3-4 mornings a week, we hop on zoom together and do a workout program. I love connecting with her each morning and it keeps me consistent with weight training. We started the day after she retired and are now four years in and still going strong!

I love the 21 day fix container diet because its so simple I can almost keep track of it in my head or just jot it down on a piece of paper.

    We are about a week and a half into the game and I love seeing all the progress everyone is making!

    I struggle sometimes with seeing how I’m going to get to my goal for the game. Like it feels overwhelming at times. So instead, I focus on what I’m going to do each week and day. One bad day doesn’t overrule all the progress I’ve made. This week my win was tracking my meals each day and speeding up my pace for run/walking.

    You’re still making progress each day.
