  • So.. I dropped out of the final challenge because I decided mid-week to try going full carnivore for the next 5 weeks. The last 2.5 days I've been primarily eating meat, eggs and cheese to the point of "comfortably stuffed"... and this morning I'm down 3 pounds!! I'm mostly on this for the health benefits, and to see whether it affects athletic performance/overall energy levels, but I was also curious about the fat-loss side of it. So far I think most of what I've lost is just straight-up bloating from all the fiber and water retention on a standard carb/veggie diet, but I feel great and excited to see where this goes...

Beef chili is my high protein, low cost, super easy favorite, and it can all be cooked in one pot if you pre-cook the beef and drain the fat while sautéing the onion and garlic. Then just throw the beef back in (1lb) with one big can diced tomatoes, one big can kidney beans (the large Hanover size -- and rinse them first!!), ~1/3c salsa, a bunch of chili powder, some cumin, black pepper and a dash of instant coffee. Simmer until the beans are tender, stirring occasionally.

HB eggs, protein balls (PB, oats, chia, etc.), and hummus. Cheese is obviously another good one if you eat dairy and aren't as concerned about the fat.

You could try a maintainer! And use the winnings from this game to pay for the membership required.
I might take a break from DB too until my LO is weaned... I'm close enough to my pre-preg weight that my body has really been fighting to keep the last couple #s while nursing :sweat_smile:
