  • Raining all day here today, so we made “garbage plates” and are watching a movie since we already went to the gym! Shoutout to gyms that have childcare 🙌????

    My garbage plate included strawberries, banana, orange, and carrots with some lemon garlic hummus. Yummy!

What does a "garbage plate" mean?! (Sounds like all the food you had was the opposite of garbage!) I'm familiar with the Rochester NY garbage plate, but I can't imagine that is this?! ;)

  • My temptation at work the other day. Not a single bite was taken, not even a lick!

    I submitted an unofficial weight, making my progress 62% completed already. We got this! Mind over matter. There will be more time in the future to eat the junk, just do it for now. Do it for the ????

  • Workout complete! I’ve been off to a rocky start with this challenge but I’m trying to shift to taking it day by day and meal by meal. Oatmeal is next on the menu so wish me luck.

Day 3:

Same thing for meals as per usual. 90oz of water everyday. My local YMCA offers bodypump classes 3 days a week, it’s a combination of strength and HIIT. Works the body so hard! No sugar/carb cravings yet today. I’m excited to go home and eat breakfast.

I feel that way all the time which doubles my frustration. Now Ive been saying “oh well, …” and double down on doing better. I also work on turning bad habits into not so bad, improved, or neutral habits like snacking on fruit or carrots rather chips or crackers or chocolate…!

Yes! Consistency is my main issue. I start off all excited, but then one bad choice leads to another, and next thing you know, I'm back where I started. :disappointed: This time I am going to try something different. I am starting small and not calling it a "diet". Instead of eliminating foods I will be watching portions and trying to add more things like fruits and veggies. Exercise I am starting small also with low step goals each day that I will increase slowly. I want to focus more on creating and adding good habits instead of worrying about stoping the bad ones. My hope is that will balance itself out! We shall see. :relieved:

  • Day 2, but day 3 of my new lifestyle:

    Today was harder. The sugar/carb cravings hit hard around 10am, but subsided as the day went on. I eat the same thing everyday (plus 90oz water):

    Breakfast- two eggs (prepared any way), 1/2c strawberries, 1/4c blueberries, one banana

    Lunch- 1/2c premium salad mix, 1/2c coleslaw mix, chopped: cucumbers, tomatoes, mushrooms, peppers, and 4oz of air fried salmon

    Snack- one apple, one orange, and 3 mini cucumbers with hummus

    Dinner- chicken and vegetable soup


    I have started a new lifestyle being a crunchy mom, with voiding out all processed foods, gluten, dairy, and sugar. So far so good. Picture is of my lunch everyday!
