First weigh in done! Gained 10lb since my last dietbet. In that time I was quite poorly and on some nasty medication so this is my chance to fix that. 2nd dietbet with Lexi and have an overall target to lose 80lb.

Final weigh in and although I've achieved the 4%, I've gained 5lb since my interim weigh in Friday. I've been so poorly over the weekend I just haven't had the energy to fight my cravings. Hope you all have success.

Try to find healthy alternatives that will satisfy your cravings. I found protein shakes had the sweetness and chocolate that I was craving and they satisfied my hunger for hours.

Hi guys just 2 days left! I hit 100% but have so much left to reach my main personal goal. Have been struck down with terrible flu since Friday, had a very calorific day today, need to make sure it stays just today and I don't undo my progress so far!

I'd like to start 'running', or at least learn how to increase my lung power to not get painfully out of breath after just a few minutes walking. Have had multiple people say couch to 5k, but is there anything for before that? Like, super beginner beginner? I've been on crutches for a few years, stopped using them in November, but can't seem to get my fitness levels any higher

  • This is a really fun couch to 5K app! You can use your own music in conjunction with it and the storyline breaks through. I hate running and actually enjoy it with this. There’s a Reddit for it and everything, also, once you graduate from this app, ZRX is the next one.

I walked as quickly as I could to start. Then I started running one minute per mile then half mile & now running one minute per 3 min but I started with building up my walking

Today, whilst on my break, I had some very interesting and deep thoughts. So I'm going to share my internal ramblings with you guys as I think you'll get what I mean, and perhaps it could help you with your mindest towards yourself.

For most people (myself included) being overweight has happened as a result of over eating to varying degrees; for me, I use food as a comfort blanket:
Bored? Grab a blip
Down/Anxious? Grab a blip
Happy/Joyful? Grab a blip

I can try my hardest to be "good" but the blips are/were always around the corner. Why? Well I don't actually know, today I thought to myself it's kind of like an addiction, I don't smoke and I only have the odd alcoblip. Is food my vice? Well I think it is really. When I think about the reasons people with other addictions use their substance of choice, well that's food for me.

That thought made me understand myself so much better. If someone is battling a drug addiction, there are many forms of help, including substitute substances and rehabilitation. The advice is never "well only snort one line this weekend".

Maybe this is why I have constantly had setbacks before my current diet, by saying to myself "just eat less" well that's not helpful is it? My point being, addictions come in all forms, food is not given that understanding, it does have as disastrous consequences as any other addicition substance.

So now I look at my meal plan as my rehab; and when I'm done with my rehab, there will be certain foods I will absolutely avoid, these will put me right back where I started; and this is ok, afterall someone who is "dry" is praised for not keeping alcoblips in the house.

Disclaimer:
I have spoken based upon my own experiences, I mean no offence and I am not saying this is the case for everyone, I am also not downplaying dr*g addiction.

Yup I am the same. Emotional eater for all emotions.
Got myself up to 375 at my highest and it’s a journey that is for sure. I’ve been tearing into my journals writing a lot down and trying to do the hard work for me that’s been feeding these crazy emotions. It’s hard to get there and I am still on the roller coaster and I know it won’t end but trying to manage it at a more manageable level. Best of luck!!

Obesity is a disease , just like any other disease. I've had a Dr. Say this to me and it gave me such a relieve, knowing he understood the problem. All of the other doctors always made me feel worse by saying...just eat less. It's a disease and also an addiction. , treat it as so . Get the right help and support you need. We can overcome this as well !!!

  • Morning team! I like reading the introductions so thought I'd add mine!
I'm a British girl down in the south with pretty good teeth for a brit haha!
I was nearly 400lb 3 years ago. I was struggling to walk and cried everyday. Then I pulled it out the bag and took back my life LOSING 160LB. But I never reached my goal :(
I'm 5ft 10 and need to be around 200lb I've got about 30lb to go.

I'm so ready for this challenge. I gained 14lb the end of last year and I want it gone and the rest!
I didn't come this far to just quit!
