I've been doing this since July 11th I've lost 101 lbs so this is harder now! I'm plateauing and it's driving me crazy! I was 303.3 I'm now 202.3 but now it's hard!!

Good for you! You obviously know what you’re doing but are you getting enough protein/protein at every meal? Adding in strength training? You got this!

Do something different to shake it up. Consider intermittent fasting or change your eating or exercise schedule.

So… I have been on a weight loss journey for about a year. I was doing weights mostly and some cardio. Since starting these dietbets I have stopped doing weights because I do not lose on the scale. I have been losing significant weight, noticeable to the eye now. Prior you couldn’t notice a difference.

I plan on going back to weight lifting soon, but will not enter a diet bet at that time because I know I will not lose. Im not losing inches either. Does anyone else struggle like this too?

I have also started weights and it doesn’t show as much in losses on the scale. I know I’m losing fat and gaining muscle so once Diet Bet ends, I won’t weigh in except for my monthly track weigh in. The scale is not a friend. It’s just something that screams “you’re too fat,” and “you need to lose more.” I don’t need that. Best of luck to you!

  • Went swimming today and glanced at myself in my swimsuit in the mirror. I was compelled to take a picture then I went back in my photos on my phone. Found this picture of when I first got this swimsuit. I was 280 pounds in the left picture, in the right picture which was taken today I weighed 212. My advice for anyone on a weight loss journey is to take progress photos! Even if you hate what you look like in the mirror someday you will be happy to have these photos to help share your journey with other people! At my high weight of 295 my waist measured 55”. Today I’m down to a 41” waist. This has been a long journey but I wanted to share a bit of my story. 2 years ago I was diagnosed with postural Orthostatic tachycardia syndrome or other wise known as POTS. I had to use a cane when walking just to keep my balance. Today I’m able to walk over 3 miles without stopping with no cane or assistance device. My next goal is to start jogging. I’m still a little over 40 pounds to my goal weight but I’m learning to enjoy the journey.

  • I’m a little confused by this. When I click weigh in it says I have to become a member. Is this progress weigh in a think I have to do? Or I can chose to do it if I want for a chance at the drawing! Sorry, I’m new to this!

So, I just discovered my food scale is completely off. I used my shipping scale to verify cause the weight of something seemed wrong. Been weighing all my food wrong. Definitely need to replace that ASAP!

Nooooo! I had the same thing happen. All of a sudden I was thinking hmmm why are my portions hugely more hahah sure enough it was way off. New scale though is worth it!

  • I use intermittent fasting so this is my first meal of the day! Scrambled eggs with spinach and a bit of Feta along with some strawberries. Very yummy!

No I started doing it last year with a program called The Faster Way. And I was doing the program through most of last year but then fell off the wagon. I am now doing the program again and this Dietbet is giving me the motivation to stay on track.

Hello everyone! Our game officially starts today and i'm so excited for some self-love in Spring! For those of you who may not know me my name is Lexi (fatgirlfedup). I joined my first dietbet in 2016 and it helped me to lose 312lbs in two years with diet/exercise. No meal plan, surgery, personal trainer, but just counting my calories, focusing on my diet with 30-60 mins of exercise 5x a week in the beginning. Here's a few things to get started:
- Welcome! Together we are losing pounds and have become a community full of love, encouragement, and support! It brings me great joy to host and I love being part of such a positive weight loss space. We will have others joining us for 2 weeks so be sure to invite friends,family, and coworkers. You may literally save their life just by getting them to join in on the fun!
- Diet is key! I use myfitnesspal to track all the food i'm eating and it helped me learn about nutrition labels, log my water/workouts, and showed me my progress!
- MOVE! Try to get atleast 30 minutes of exercise 4-5x a week even if it's just walking. Every step adds up! I started with the elliptical 5x a week in the beginning as I was 485lbs and it helped me to not kill my knees. Start where you can and just focus on moving daily.
- WATER is your best friend! I aim to drink a gallon a day. Water helps to keep you full, boost your metabolism, and can even help your skin while losing weight!
- Let's be friends! Be sure to tag #fatgirlfedupsdietbet on all social media so we can find & cheer each other on!
- PICTURES. Sometimes the scale doesn't tell the full story so be sure to take ALL the before pictures. I promise you WILL want them and we can't wait to see your transformation!

Oh, I don't follow any specific recipe. In these I put quinoa, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, green beans and shredded chicken. Sometimes I also add beans, shrimp, eggs, etc. It's all whatever you like in there. And seasoning.
