Weighed myself for the 1st time this month and I’m only 1.6lbs away from this rounds goal. I am just gonna keep on doing the same thing. Don’t plan on doing anything dramatic just to make the goal. If I make it cool!. If I don’t, also cool! Because progress was made no matter what

  • Had a busy Sunday. Decided to Go OMAD today rather than my usual 4 meals.

Similar to what I’m doing! I lost a lot of weight in college doing that because I only had money to eat at mealtimes. :joy:

YESS! I use IF and I follow a "dirty" paleo diet. I haven't even counted calories and down 23lbs in 7 weeks. I love it! My window is 12:30pm-8:30pm.

  • Goal for this challenge was to switch up the menu each month to add some variety. But gotta say, February’s menu has been very good. Sleeping better, feel great in the gym, and weight is coming off. Going with the saying “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” with the diet.

For me it is about ease: a glass of 1% milk and a granola bar. Prep time is minimal, I can eat it in about 3 minutes easily, and it’s about 325 calories (I’m 280lbs so that is decent calorie breakfast for me).

TBF, I also eat a banana between breakfast and lunch at my desk. In total I’m hitting three food groups and exerting minimal effort. I’ve been doing this for about five years now.

Biking Syl

Raw oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, milk.

I made it right on the nose, like holding the phone to take the photo almost put me over. Thanks everyone this means a lot to be going in the right direction. It was so hard because I joined the game 2 weeks in

Me too!!!:smile::smile:I had to wait for it to stop blinking, have the phone on the floor beside me so that I could stoop pick it up without the weighing scale resetting:smile:

Made round 1 goal and was happy that I only really checked my weight 2 times before that. I’m trusting the process I’ve put in place and did not wanna let fluctuating numbers on the scale mess with my head

'Trust the process' really sounds good to me. I'll try to hold this quote in my mind for the next months.

Has anyone on here tried Intermittent Fasting? I’m back on it again and have had good results in the past. I usually try to do 16-8 fasting time line. Take care and I hope everyone has a great 2024.

I'm doing 18:6 per my doctor's suggestion, it is working great for me! I took a few weeks off of following it due to moving and holidays and gained back some weight. My doctor told me it's a lifelong commitment if I want the weight to stay off.

Lisa P.

I’m doing it with eating window 12-8 - going to try and shorten that to 12-6. I am not a big fan of breakfast, so it is easy for me.

One of the commitments I made upon deciding to return to Dietbet was to check in every day, or at least as close to it as possible.

Tomorrow, I'm beginning a couple of different adjustments to my diet, both of which I plan to continue for the month. The first os to give up caffeine, so see how it impacts my sleep. The second is processed sugar because I have enormous difficulty moderating my intake. I've given up sugar multiple times in the past, but have always been drawn back in. For this reason, I'm only focused on the month of January, as a means to kickstart my weight loss journey.

For me it was giving up sugar too that helped best! The way I did it was trying to eliminate the sugar in processed food. So getting rid of the sugar where it didn't belong anyway. I made a cereal bar where I made my own Muesli, not the store-bought kind with lots of sugar. Replaced milk that naturally contains sugar with oatmilk without sugar. Replaced white rice and wheat that creates sugar in the body with healthier alternatives that don't let your blood sugar spike as much. What this did is that when THEN I craved a piece of cake once a week, I could indulge in it, because it wasn't building on tons of passive sugar intake already. That's worked great for me so far - I've lost 30kg this way without any other further restrictions to my diet but simply counting calories on my yazio app and getting my 10k steps in every day. Maybe that method helps you too, and I wish you all the luck!

Michael

I'm not so bad with hidden sugars. I drink unsweetened plant milk, use natural peanut butter, rarely buy processed foods, etc. My weakness lies in truly sweet foods, especially baked goods. Once I start, it is very difficult to stop. I would probably say the best path for me is 0% sweets, but while I have been on that path several times, I have yet to stay on it.

  • I have never had to do a video weigh in before and it was rejected. What are the tips I watched the display video and feel like I did exactly that but was rejected? I started the video showing .my whole body in the mirror and then stepped on and panned down to the scale to show the results ... ????

I'm sorry for the trouble! I'm glad you found it was accepted. There is usually an explanation that accompanies the rejection, and I'm sorry it was unclear!

MomaBina

There was explanations it was just I watched the example video like eight times and none of the things that they were rejecting my video for were in that example video so it was just super frustrating.
