Now that it's lighter out longer, I skipped the gym and went for a 4 mile bike ride instead. The second half is all incline. 🔥

Same here!

Cycling is my go-to choice for exercise. Looking forward to earlier sunrises & drier days.

Looks like I'm going to make the goal by the skin of my teeth this time!

Having failed previous dietbets later in the challenge, I'm trying to do slow and steady life changes instead of all at once. I'm hoping doing it this way may be more sustainable than trying to change everything about myself in one month 😅

Quitting beer was a great way to start, but what's next? I'm thinking maybe calorie counting, but increasing exercise seems easier. Maybe cutting out sugar? Whatever it is, I'll be starting it tomorrow, any suggestions are welcome

Cutting out added sugar had a good impact on my overall health and on the kinds of foods I crave. Exercise is always good. Really, all your ideas are great -- including the one to ease each new habit in.

Everyone’s comments are really great and I have incorporated a lot of them this time around. I am just a half a lb away from next months goal. So it’s definitely working.

  • Alright!! Let's get this weekend started with a little fun!

You're all doing so great! Keep up the great work and stay positive.

Here's the fun! Share with us what you would chose - if you could only pick one: personal trainer, unlimited athletic wardrobe, personal chef, home gym, or endless vegetable garden.

    I know, it's tough!

Can't wait to see what you would choose! (Don't forget to give others a like if they share your choice!)

Any ideas for healthy sweet snack? I'm getting tired of medjool dates and the cravings for sweet things are really getting to me!

  • 1 week to go! We can do this!

Picture of my supper last night, homemade hamburger helper with homemade pico de gallo and red peppers. Been trying very hard to have half my plate veggies for lunch and supper!

I've strayed from my goal of veggies at every meal. It's definitely showing on the scale - hasn't budged in a week! Gotta get back to it.

65% of the way there. Eating habits haven't been great this week. Getting back on track today to lose the last 1.7 lbs for this round.

  • Ok, everyone! Two weeks left until our Round 1 weigh-in!

How are you feeling about that?

Many of us start off very strong with some big 2024 New Year goals and awesome motivation... but we all know the hard part is maintaining that momentum!

This is your reminder that perfection is the enemy of progress.

Has anyone found themselves going so gung-ho with making changes that they feel terrible when they slip up? Or, even worse, it can result in a downward spiral?

Slow and steady wins the race, and it's a lot easier to continue in the right direction if you have a little grace and focus on small changes and forward motion each day.

👉 Share if you have felt this or dealt with it in the past!

👉 Also, share what small, manageable changes you're making this time around!

I was doing well but slipped up during the blizzard and my hormones acting up. I lost some but regained some. Next month I'll plan for my cycle and make sure I stock up on foods that curb cravings. Also plan to stick with exercise as the snow leaves. Reminding myself it's a marathon not a sprint and I didn't put this weight on overnight, it'll take time and learning and bumps on the way to undo it.

I had a big drop the first few days, but nothing since. Trying to stay the course knowing I'm doing everything right. I hope the scale starts moving before the 1-month weigh-in!

Had a really hectic day. I've stuck to my calories all week. Decided to indulge and go a couple hundred calories over for today with a homemade hot buffalo chicken sandwich. It really hit the spot!

Making small changes. Decided to give up cheese. I always had problems with dairy but love cheese. The past week I gave up cheese (not forever) but maybe for a month or longer. I weighed myself and I have lost 4 pounds from last week. Giving up cheese is the only change I made. Going to try to add a small change each week. This week adding a green smoothie to add more greens and fiber into my diet.
Have you made any small changes that has made a difference for you?

I just had to cut out cheese (hopefully temporarily). That could be behind my rapid early loss, actually.

Giving up coffee creamer. My favorite morning drink. :joy:
