I MADE IT!!!! Weighed in 0.1 lbs under goal!!!

This was my first DietBet and there were several rounds where I missed the goal by days or even a week. I debated quitting more than once but honestly this bet was the one thing holding me accountable for weight I’d been trying to lose for over a year, soI stayed with it and kept pushing.

I cut out the cookies and cake I was eating (because I love to bake but there’s no one to bake FOR!) and in March I finally got a gym membership and started putting back on muscle I’d lost.

I’m happy that I did it the healthy way. Body composition: body fat down 4.1%, BMI down 2.7, skeletal muscle UP 2.3%, and subcutaneous fat down 3.3%. The scale is one thing but these numbers are what actually make me feel amazing!

I’m glad I didn’t quit!

I won! Only missed one round and that was because my scale’s batteries were dying and couldn’t get an accurate weight.

I’ve lost 3 inches off my waist during this bet, got back under 200lbs, and as of today got out of obese BMI (naked on the scale without phone in hand, not for official bet weight out). Those are major milestones for me.

I have a LONG way to go still. Going to take a couple of weeks off before jumping into another transformer bet. Don’t worry I won’t binge or go crazy eating a lot of unhealthy food…but today I will indulge with some Haagen-Daz ice cream and some wine with dinner!

I hope everyone finished strong. Good luck with you weight loss journey!

  • This six month transformer
was harder than the one month challenges. I didn’t win every round, but made goal in the end!

Same! Had a good initial weight drop, but plateaued as I started self-sabotaging on weekends. Buckled down in the last month and beat my goal weight be almost a pound. Down to the wire!

Susan C.

Same here, but I'm at the lowest weight of my adult life and I couldn't be happier!

Oh that’s great to know! I didn’t hit my goal for weigh 2 or 3 - BUT the great thing is - I hit it 3-5 days later!!! So I’m getting the benefit … just a tiny bit late, I’m glad that I can keep going because maybe I can be just a bit more strict and hit the goal for May 1 on time!! :tada::tada::tada::tada: the diet bet is working, all in all! I’m feeling like myself for the first time in 5 years!!! ??

  • Sleep isn’t a luxury—it’s a weight-loss tool!

When you don’t get enough sleep, hunger hormones increase, cravings get louder, and your body holds onto fat more easily. Getting quality rest helps regulate appetite, improve energy, and support fat loss without extra effort.

If weight loss feels harder when you’re tired… it’s not in your head. Make sure to make sleep a priority on your weight loss journey. Your body will thank you!

I struggle to get good sleep in general. With a toddler and a 4 mo in sleep regression, I'm just trying to hang in there as best I can.

Kris

I have struggled with sleep my whole.life. I average about 5 hours on a good day. Im working to try to get to 6 hours.

  • Trying to hit 150g of protein and get all my water intake for the day has always kept my sugar cravings at bay.

I don’t like to cook so basic boiled chicken and microwaveable quinoa with brown rice for lunch today ??

Crock pot chicken is easy to cook more flavorful. I put a bunch of chicken breasts in the crockpot with marinade/soy sauce and whatever spices I feel like at the moment, cook on low for 8 hours, pull out and shred, mix in a little sauce (or multiple sauces) and I have chicken for the week. Extra gets frozen before the sauce goes in so I can thaw and sauce it the next week.

That looks awesome!
