For those who struggle with getting enough protein in or cutting out "wheat" I found a great alternative! I finally made lentil wraps! The real name for it is Dosa. Anyways i just soaked red lentils and blended it up, put in some seasonings and then cooked in on frying pan and ate it like a wrap. It was delicious so I'd highly recommend:)

First month done! I lost 9 kg (20 lbs) Anyone feeling a little burnt out? I’ve stuck to my plan pretty rigorously and only deviated once.. it’s strange.. it don’t feel like I’m necessarily craving to get off my meal plan or even binge, it’s more mental? I miss the dopamine all the processed food used to give me haha… but I’m also just so sick of being this heavy and just want to be at a healthy weight now.. knowing I have such a long way to go sometimes makes it seem insurmountable..

btw, I’m curious are there any other people here from europe? I’m from Sweden/Finland🇸🇪🇫🇮

You can change what you snack. I'm a big fan of carrots.

You can also hold yourself to a rule that you only eat seated at a table for eating (not a work desk!) and without any distractions -- no scrolling on your phone, no TV... That tends to curb mindless eating.

You can also try tracking your snack BEFORE you eat it and considering how eating it will affect your calorie budget for later meals.

I am a huge snacker and at my office there is always a basket of snacks. I am trying to work my "discipline muscle," by going past it and saying to myself "I am choosing not to eat this now, because I know I'll feel better." On the others hand, I do choose to eat a snack occasionally. I've gone from about 8 snacks a day to one every few days. I feel that's probably sustainable for me.

  • Day 22: I haven't posted in a few days because I've very frustrated with my progress. I've been doing things the right way but after a good week of working out and staying in a calorie debt, I only lost .6lbs. My trainer suggests that this might be due to my increased workout efforts. I certainly hope that's the case. Unfortunately, it means I may not hit my DietBet for the January single month game. It does put me in a win for my 6 months "transformation" game, if I remain here through the end of the month. I'm hoping I can pull out a miracle this last week.

Lots and lots of water. When starting a new workout routine and upping water intake I've always noticed a very slow progression the first few weeks but then all of the sudden there's a big drop in the scale. Give your body the time to adjust and don't let the scale be the only motivator.

Maybe lifting heavier at gym and upping the calories. Huge breakfast, light dinner. Lots and lots of water. Sometimes you’ll see a huge drop in the scale out of nowhere. Keep going!

Been sick the last few days so haven’t been working out or tracking my calories super closely (though mostly keeping it reasonable). This always happens to me as soon as I start a DietBet and fitness routine hah.

For small wins, I’ve resisted eating chocolate the last few days! Any small wins to celebrate for you folks?

Here I go again… finally got my weight in. 413.4.. last year I got down to 345 but ended up switching jobs and lost access to a fitness room where I was walking 2 miles every day for six months… I do fast.. at the height of my fasting I could go 4-5 days. Does anyone else get fasting in here?

Yep Jayne, my longest fast was 98 hours.. fasting was an amazing experience for me.. people don’t believe I could fast that long cause I’m a big guy. I just started one last night. See if I can go until Friday.
